Synopsis

The rumble that wakes you in middle of the night from your dreams of Earth Alliance rocket ships blasting the vile Martian Rebels with their Atomic Heat Rays might have been a rocket ship blasting off from the mainland, or it might have been a late summer thunderstorm. You open your eyes to the velvety darkness of your bedroom, lit only by the slightly less black square of the window, which is pulsing by faint flashes of light in the sky. You think about getting up and finding your binoculars, but your eyelids are heavy and you drift back to sleep. By the morning, all this is forgotten.
