Synopsis

Plot

You're a musician named Phil Howard. You've travelled to New York City to make your fame and fortune. Unfortunately, you weren't prepared for the big city and you haven't found a single gig. You're left with just a pocketful of change and can't pay next month's rent. You head out to take in one last show at HeBGB, your favourite night club, before heading back home tomorrow.

On your way to the club, you see a cadaverous looking stranger taping a large poster to the window of Bowery Billy's The Land of 10,000 Disks record shop. On closer inspection, you see that The Laughing Kats are performing at HeBGB for tonight only. What a great opportunity! The only trouble is, you don't have enough money for a ticket.

Version 1.0 is the original competition entry. Version 2.0 is an update with bug fixes and enhancements.

This is a punk rock nostalgia trip with many references to well-known punk bands of the mid-1970s.
