Taking a cue from Jules Verne's Mysterious Island and The Lost World, sir Arthur Conan Doyle's classic tale of ferocious dinos roaming an island, Escape From Dinosaur Island sees you balloon-crash-landing on a strange island. Where (drum roll) there be dinosaurs! Your task, such as it is, is simply to get away from those pesky creatures and off the island.
Which shouldn't prove too much of a challenge. The game is fairly short and the puzzles on the easy side, which suits a busy guy like me just fine.

Parser/Vocabulary (Rating: 5/10)

The game offers a basic, but functional verb noun parser. I do wish that you could examine objects in the various locations and not just items, but the game certainly gets the job done.

Atmosphere (Rating: 6/10)

The descriptions are terse, but still manage to evoke a humid jungle island. Earlier versions had a number of typos but these have fortunately been fixed.

Cruelty (Rating: Polite)

It is possible to die, but you're given plenty of warnings in advance. Other than that, I don't think it's possible to get stuck.

Puzzles (Rating: 5/10)

Like I wrote, the puzzles are fairly easy, but also fairly logical and they make sense within the setting. One of them (involving soup) was a bit too convenient, but that's a minor gripe.

Overall (Rating: 6/10)

All in all I enjoyed my brief stay on the island, and I'm looking forward to whatever the author comes up with next!
