As well as his text adventures, Brian K. Asbury is known for his work in the field of RPGs. Brian was introduced to D&D in the 1970s. He was one of the contributors to the famous AD&D book Fiend Folio (although his emphasises that his character, Xill, was heavily reworked by the publishers)

He wrote the "solo dungeon" book Kandroc Keep and contributed articles and campaigns to magazines such as White Dwarf, Troll Crusher, Chimaera, Demonsblood and Imagine. He published a collection of short stories in the book Purple Parables.
