Synopsis

Things have been kind of weird around here lately. The last couple of weeks haven't made much sense and you feel as if you've just been going along with the flow for the time being, as if in a dream. But, still, you think the weird feeling is only growing.

Take Gef, for instance. Sure, it's fun to have a pet, especially one that's appeared out of nowhere and seemingly adopted you. But you've yet to wrap your head around why this furry animal actually talks to you....in English....with an Indian accent. New Delhi, actually, as he's explained to you.

Oh, and for some reason Gef is a mongoose that looks like a cat to everyone but you. It's yet another thing you haven't had the time to try to understand.

Also, your neighbors on the second floor have seemed to disappear, even though strange sounds can be heard now and again from their place.

And then there's the mini-quakes. Or whatever you would call such strange rumblings coming from the people on the first floor. Sometimes it sounds like music booming, and other times it feels like a small earthquake; the house shaking noticeably yet briefly. Strangely, others in the neighborhood claim to have felt no such thing.
