Synopsis

Plot

Well, here it is! The big evening.

Your buddy Arnie set you up with this little number named Andrea, and here you are.
What do you know? She LOOKS OK, at least! (After that last blind date of Arnie's his LIFE depended on that!

Thing is, he didn't tell you a damn thing about her. What she likes and doesn't like, how far she goes how fast... all the important stuff you need to know.

With this background, your DRIVE-IN ADVENTURE is about to begin. As with all adventures, you direct the computer with VERB-NOUN two-word English sentences. Your sensual computer will be your eyes and ears and hands and... well... you'll find out.

Notes

The game was written by Douglas C. Rogers in 1982, for Commodore 64, under the company name of Program Dynamics. It was (later?*) distributed on his Adventureland BBS. Further distribution was encouraged as shareware through bulletin boards and public-domain disks.

(*A QuestBusters mention shows that Doug's Adventureland BBS was operating at least as early as 1987.)

As an early "adult adventure", the game has been converted to other systems, often with slightly changes such as the name of the female love-interest.

A CoCo version exists but seems to be incomplete.

The game was ported to Coleco ADAM by an unknown author and was released by ADAMafic Software in 1987.

The original Commodore BASIC version was ported to QuickBasic C by an unknown author, probably sometime around 1987 (see the research by The Adventure Gamer) despite still showing the 1982 copyright date. The original author, Doug Rogers, could've produced this port himself as he made a PC version of his other game, The Nectar of the Gods.

Alan Pilon ported the game to QuickBasic v4 in 1988 under the title Passion Pit, adding features such as a random name for the female companion. He released it through his Western Reserve Automation Inc company.

The original game was ported by Stark to AFT in 1990 with the title Crusin. This version of the game focuses on the section of the game inside the car.
