You, daring adventurer, decide to challenge the powers of the evil Zyll. You must capture the mystical Black Orb and carry it home with you to restore the countryside to its former beauty.
Notes
The game is playable in both a single-player and two-player mode. In the 80-column multi-player mode, the screen is split in two and the game is played in either a competitive or cooperative mode.
Despite this being an old-school hybrid RPG (it has classes, attributes, random encounters, combat, and random treasure placement) it has enough IF elements to reasonably qualify: fixed map, some object locations, puzzles, text-based interface and well-defined quest goals. It is also surprisingly engaging: the geography is complex, surprises and hidden extras are abundant, and the game is difficult enough but can accommodate very different styles of play. Yes, the coding is not very polished, some bugs can appear, the design may be frustrating; but I had a good time exploring this one, which counts for something.
