You are Noric Gooddeed, a skilled Viking, travelling across the snowy countryside in search of riches and glory. Your companion, E. Pinke Kim, is an extremely annoying minstrel. You have put up with him following you around for a number of years, simply because he is writing a song which, he claims, will immortalise you and bring you glory for generations to come.
All of a sudden, there is a blast of thunder and lightning. The bright light blinds you for a moment and, as your eyes adjust, you can make out a floating doorway.
Out of the door steps a small man in strange garb. The man says something you cannot hear over the crackling of energy then turns and steps back into the floating door. Kim jumps on this immediately and pens a verse, whereby he declares the small man to be Odin and you need to find the meaning of Odin's message, but you must act with great speed.
This is the second installment in 'The WadeWars' trilogy. It's an unfinished version that was written in Inform 6 and released on 6 August 2000. See 'The WadeWars Book III: Askin' for the full history of the trilogy.
