Scenario
The floods have come and you are trapped in your attic.  Can you escape?  Are you a survivor?

Notes
1. Be aware that things continue to happen if you stop typing to making notes, think, make a cup of
coffee, answer the telephone or, like me, watch the tennis, etc.  This resulted in me being shot
amongst other things.  Use the PAUSE command.
2. Watch the red energy bar on the left of the graphic and REST in suitable locations where there is
no water (4 times only), or you will die from exhaustion.  Eating the food also increases your
energy.  Note that each time you swim it uses energy, as does a few other actions such as climbing
in certain locations.
3. There are a number of timed and random events, eg. the bearded man in the boat, the men with the
gun in the wrecked office, the men on the bridge and the red car, so don't be slow with inputs,
or use the PAUSE command.

Walk Through
(Start trapped in the attic), GET FOOD, EXAMINE FOOD (sandwiches wrapped in paper - don't eat
yet), OPEN DOOR (all you can see is water), EXAMINE WINDOW, OPEN WINDOW (see a man with a boat),
CALL MAN (you should to him and he says to come on), CLIMB WINDOW (you climb through, slide down the
roof and land in the water... you clamber into the boat), TALK MAN (he says we'll head for the
hills or that it beats being in prison and rows faster), LOOK (if necessary until there is a loud
explosion and the boat is peppered with bullets and sinks... you are outside the town hall), EXAMINE
WINDOW (open), CLIMB WINDOW (inside town hall), EXAMINE DESK, SIT CHAIR (you kick something with
your foot), LOOK UNDER DESK (find a first aid kit), GET KIT, EXAMINE KIT, STAND UP, EXAMINE SHELF
(see a metal container), GET CONTAINER (can't reach), HIT PANEL (with your fist, the metal
container wobbles), HIT PANEL (container falls off), GET CONTAINER, EXAMINE CONTAINER, CLIMB
WINDOW.

SWIM S (by flat topped building), EXAMINE LARGE WINDOW (open), CLIMB LARGE WINDOW (make sure you are
carrying the container - into office where see three men who point a shotgun at you), GIVE CONTAINER
(they open it and a cloud of poisonous gas is released... they collapse), GET GUN (if present) or
LOOK (until one of the men shoots you before collapsing - leave the gun you don't need it),
OPEN KIT (you wrap a bandage around your arm), DROP KIT, GET LIFEJACKET, EXAMINE LIFEJACKET, WEAR
LIFEJACKET, CLIMB WINDOW, SWIM N (by town hall), SWIM E (must be wearing lifejacket - by church
tower), 

SWIM NE (by brick bridge), SWIM SE (by a tower block of flats), EXAMINE CRADLE (a
window-cleaner's cradle), CLIMB CRADLE, GET ROPE, EXAMINE ROPE, CLIMB CRADLE, SWIM NW, SWIM SW
(by church tower), THROW ROPE (it catches and hangs down in the water), CLIMB ROPE (church tower -
the rope falls into the water), GET OXYGEN TANK, EXAMINE TANK, EXAMINE BELL (a rope hangs down),
PULL ROPE (bell rings and a diving suit falls down beside you), GET SUIT, EXAMINE SUIT, WEAR SUIT,
WEAR TANK, REST (boosts your energy), CLIMB WINDOW (which one), W (by church tower - leave the
rope), SWIM W (by town hall), SWIM W (house rooftops where you see a net floating in the water), GET
NET (it's caught on something underwater), DIVE (must be wearing oxygen tank and suit - you
free the net), GET NET, EXAMINE NET,  SWIM E (by town hall), SWIM E (by church tower).

SWIM NE (where three men standing on a bridge are hurling things into the river - note if you hang
around a broken bottle and an iron bar land in the water in front of you, followed by a brick which
hits you on the head)), THROW NET (over the men who fall into the river and disappear), EXAMINE
BRIDGE (has an arch going underneath and you notice a boat), CLIMB BOAT, GET SAW, EXAMINE SAW (used
for cutting metal), REST, CLIMB BOAT (back to by bridge), SWIM BRIDGE (must be wearing suit and
oxygen tank - you swim under the bridge to by carpark).

CLIMB (onto carpark flat roof where a red car drives straight at you), JUMP (you dive out of the way
and the car hits the wall), EXAMINE RED CAR (the driver is slumped over the wheel), EXAMINE MAN
(dead), EXAMINE GREEN CAR (notice a metal post nearby), EXAMINE POST (a metal chain is bolted to
it), CUT CHAIN (using the saw), DROP SAW, GET CHAIN, EXAMINE CHAIN (has a hook on each end), OPEN
DOOR (you pull the car door open and find car keys), GET KEYS, EXAMINE KEYS, UNLOCK BOOT (find a
fuel can), DROP KEYS, GET CAN, EXAMINE CAN (full), D, SWIM BRIDGE.

SWIM SE, CLIMB CRADLE, FIX CHAIN (you hook one end onto the broken chain and the other onto the
cradle), EXAMINE CRADLE (see a control panel at one end), EXAMINE PANEL (see two buttons and a
switch), PUSH SWITCH, PUSH RED BUTTON (cradle moves up... you are on the flat roof of a tower
block), GET BOTTLE, EXAMINE BOTTLE (half full of red liquid), SMELL LIQUID (alcohol), DROP BOTTLE
(if you drink it it just decreases your energy), OPEN DOOR (locked), EXAMINE BUILDING (see hatch
with a generator behind), EXAMINE GENERATOR (provides electricity to the flats below), OPEN HATCH
(see lever), PULL LEVER (opens door leading down), D (corridor with lift), GET METAL BAR, EXAMINE
BAR, PUSH BUTTON (lift doors open and you see a spanner on a ledge inside), GET SPANNER (as you try
to take it the lift doors close again), PUSH BUTTON (lift doors open), USE BAR (you jam it between
the lift doors), GET SPANNER, EXAMINE SPANNER, GET BAR, U (top of building), USE SPANNER (you get
the generator working), DROP SPANNER, REMOVE SUIT, DROP SUIT, REMOVE TANK, DROP TANK, CLIMB CRADLE,
PUSH BLACK BUTTON (cradle moves down and lands in the water), CLIMB CRADLE (in water). 

SWIM NW, SWIM SW, SWIM W (outside town hall where you see a rubber tyre - leave it), CLIMB WINDOW
(inside town hall), REST, CLIMB WINDOW, SWIM S (by flat top building), EXAMINE SMALL WINDOW (shut),
HIT SMALL WINDOW (you smash it with the metal bar), DROP BAR, CLIMB SMALL WINDOW (into a small
room), GET METAL BOX, DROP BOX (it smashes open revealing a flare), GET FLARE, UNWRAP FOOD, EAT
FOOD, CLIMB WINDOW, SWIM N, SWIM E, SWIM NE, EXAMINE BRIDGE (see boat), CLIMB BOAT, EXAMINE BOAT,
EXAMINE ENGINE (see filler cap and cord), PULL CORD (engine dies), OPEN CAP, OPEN CAN (you pour the
fuel into the boat's tank), PULL CORD (must be carrying flare or it won't start - the
engine bursts into life and the boat moves through the water... you steer the boat towards the hills
in the distance and come to rest alongside a large hill), CLIMB BOAT (you are standing on a flat
topped hill high above the water), EXAMINE FLARE (has a pull cord), PULL CORD, LOOK (a helicopter
arrives and lowers a harness), GET HARNESS (you grab the harness and climb into it, then you are
hauled up into the helicopter which takes you to dry land).

WELL DONE
You are a survivor of the flood!
