EXAMINE DOOR, UNLOCK DOOR (using the key the blacksmith gave you), E (into entrance hall), N (the door to the north is locked), PICK LOCK, OPEN DOOR, N, EXAMINE FIREPLACE (two dragons sit on a dusty mantelpiece), ENTER FIREPLACE (there is nothing there but ashes), GET ASHES, E (into the count's library), EXAMINE LIBRARY (there are shelves and shelves of books), SEARCH LIBRARY (you discover the count's papers), GET PAPERS, READ PAPERS, W, S, U (to dining hall), EXAMINE TABLE (you see a large carving knife), GET KNIFE (it is stuck), PUSH KNIFE (you loosen it), PULL KNIFE (you now have it), SHARPEN BRANCH (you whittle it into a stake). E, E (into bedroom), EXAMINE BED, EXAMINE WINDOW (it overlooks a vast chasm), OPEN WINDOW (jammed), LEVER WINDOW (using the knife... with much effort you manage to pry it open enough to climb through), REMOVE SHOES (must do this before you can climb through the window - note if you enter the window you will fall the abyss below), CLIMB OUT (must have removed shoes - you are standing precariously on a window ledge), CLIMB DOWN (to east side of castle wall), CLIMB DOWN (to another window ledge), ENTER WINDOW (to the count's study), EXAMINE DOOR (it is jammed shut), KICK DOOR (it opens a little), PUSH DOOR (it opens), W (into a stone passageway) W (to stairs), D (into a ruined chapel), EXAMINE CHAPEL (you see a small dark hole high above in the roof), E, D (into a dark vault with decayed coffins everywhere), U, W, W, D (into a dingy vault), EXAMINE COFFINS (three stand out), BREAK WAFERS (you now have 16 thin disks of unleavened bread), BREAK WAFERS (now have 32), DROP COG (the floor gives way and you find yourself in Dracula's crypt), PICK LOCK (using the clock hand).
