NOTES
1. To see a little more of the adventure save the game after you leave the
ambulance, WAIT (until the lights change), W, W, N, IN (to police station), HIT
SERGEANT (you are taken to a cell and locked up), HIT MCNALLY (he has an idea
and starts banging about until the sergeant comes in), OUT (you can't until
McNally and the sergeant have finished fighting), OUT (McNally knocks out the
sergeant), GET MATCHBOOK AND KEY, OUT, UNLOCK DOOR WITH LARGE KEY, OPEN DOOR, W,
OUT, S, E, WAIT (until the lights change), E (wander around for a while and you
will be re-arrested). Now you can see how the game prematurely ends. Restore
your saved position outside LeMonaco at 3:14 pm and continue from there.
2. Miss your lunchtime engagement with your wife as when you leave the
restaurant and you will be knocked over and taken to the hospital.....instead,
get yourself attacked by the tramp and THEN end up in hospital, using this
attack as evidence later.
WALK THROUGH
(Start in your office at 9:00 am - David gives you some early bookings in the
form of a list, to be taken to the dealing room), N, E, N, EXAMINE DOOR (which
one?), WOODEN, WAIT (until David goes through the wooden door into Bill Hughes'
office), LISTEN AT WOODEN DOOR (you hear mention of an affidavit in Bill's car
and David is given the keys to go and get it), W (into the dealing room - a
dealer snatches your list [+10] and mentions that the Serious Fraud Office are
after David... you automatically return to the corridor).
S, E (into the bathroom), S (into the cubicle), OPEN CISTERN AND LOOK INSIDE IT
(you see a plastic bag), TAKE BAG AND EXAMINE IT (it contains a white powder),
PUT BAG IN CISTERN AND CLOSE CISTERN, N, WAIT (until 9:36 a.m. when David will
enter the bathroom), WAIT (until he enters the cubicle), WAIT (until David
leaves), S (into the cubicle), OPEN CISTERN AND LOOK INSIDE IT (contains
nothing) [+10].
N, W, W (Margaret's office), EXAMINE DESK, TAKE ENVELOPE AND READ IT [+10], E,

your game packaging... it's a 'doctored' conversation between you and David),
OPEN GLOVE BOX AND LOOK INSIDE IT, GET SCREWDRIVER, OUT, CLOSE DOOR, LOCK BMW
WITH CAR KEY, LOOK IN VOLVO (you see a folder), BREAK VOLVO WINDOW WITH
SCREWDRIVER, GET FOLDER AND EXAMINE IT, OPEN FOLDER, READ AFFIDAVIT [+10].
U, U, U, N, W (Margaret's office), S (into your office), OPEN CABINET AND LOOK
INSIDE IT, GET LEDGER AND CERTIFICATE, READ LEDGER, READ CERTIFICATE [+10],
OPEN BRIEFCASE, PUT ALL IN BRIEFCASE, CLOSE BRIEFCASE, WAIT (until 10:59 am), N
(now 11:00 am and Margaret will leave the office), WAIT (until 11:20 am), GET
PHONE, WAIT (until 11:25 when the dialling tone is interrupted and you overhear
a conversation setting you up) [+10], DROP PHONE, E, S, D, N, WAIT until 12:00
(Theresa leaves her office to feed the ducks in the park), W, GET PHONE, WAIT
(until 12:10 when you overhear another conversation between Charpontier, a dope

where the traffic lights are), WAIT (until the lights change), W (across the
road to the park), S, S (you see Theresa feeding the ducks), NW, N, N (you
notice a young tramp), EXAMINE TRAMP (too young to have been on the street for
long and his clothes are almost clean), WAIT (the tramp heads off to another
location in the park), E (keep tracking the tramp), S, S, WAIT (several times
until Theresa leaves to go back to the office at about 12:50 pm), NW, N, N, E,
S , WAIT (until the tramp arrives and many more times until he moves off at
1:59 pm), N, W, EXAMINE TRAMP, WAIT (many more times until 2:29 pm and the
tramp moves off), E, S (the time should now be 2:31 pm and the tramp will now
attack you, causing you to end up in the hospital).
(Timing is crucial here, so follow the walk through exactly) EXAMINE EMPTY BED,
WAIT (until 2:48 when Nurse Stephenson heads off towards the corridor), GET UP,
GET BRIEFCASE AND ALL FROM EMPTY BED (you collect a pillow case and some papers
also), PUT BRIEFCASE ON EMPTY BED, S, S (TV room), OPEN LOCKER, GET STETHOSCOPE
AND ALL FROM LOCKER (tie, jacket, shirt and trousers), N, E (accident and
emergency department - you will hear footsteps outside in the corridor), PUT ALL
EXCEPT PAPERS IN PILLOWCASE, WAIT (you will hear footsteps again), WAIT, W, W
(outside operating theatre), GET BANDAGE AND WEAR IT (you can just see), LIE ON
BED, PUT PILLOWCASE ON BED (Nurse Stephenson now returns and wheels you to
casualty to the ambulance driver... you are shortly driven away), GET UP, REMOVE
BANDAGE AND PYJAMAS, GET ALL FROM PILLOWCASE (the ambulance is now leaving the
hospital and turning into Nothumberland Road), WEAR SHIRT AND TROUSERS AND TIE
AND JACKET, GET BRIEFCASE (the ambulance is now picking up speed along London
Road), OPEN DOOR, INVENTORY (the ambulance stops at traffic lights outside your
office building), S (you leave the ambulance and are now outside the Le Monaco
... the time is currently 3:14 pm).
S, S, E, S, U (stairs), WAIT (until 3:32 pm when Theresa finishes work), WAIT
(until Theresa heads off towards the landing), WAIT, N, W (into Theresa's
office), OPEN DRAWER AND LOOK INSIDE IT, GET KEY AND OPEN DOOR WITH IT, W (into
your partner's office), MOVE TV (you discover a safe at the back of the hole),
EXAMINE SAFE (operated by a dial), EXAMINE DIAL, WEAR STETHOSCOPE AND PUT IT ON
DIAL, TURN DIAL (the first tumbler drops), AGAIN (the second tumbler drops),
AGAIN (if the stethoscope falls from your ears, repeat procedure until the safe
finally opens and ignore the footsteps outside) [+10], GET ALL FROM SAFE (a
bundle of receipts, some casino chips and a ledger), EXAMINE RECEIPTS (a record
of all payments made by the company in the past few weeks), READ THEM (at least
