Walkthrough by Alex Dijkstra for the Atari ST
Note the version found on the internet is unplayable because the programmer forgot to add the lines
to wear/unwear the trousers to the code. I have added the following two lines to the Low priority
conditions:
11 if carried 18 and verb "wear" and noun "trousers" then 18 to 444 then lf lf
message 357 objsht 18 then 3 +count 0 lf wait
12 if 18 in 444 if verb "remove" and noun "trousers" then 18 to with lf lf
message 358 objsht 18 then 3 -count 0 lf wait

Walkthrough:
GET OVERALLS, WEAR OVERALLS (to prevent being arrested for nudity), GET POT (you find a key), GET
KEY, OPEN DOOR, N, E, OPEN FRIDGE, SEARCH FRIDGE, GET CHEESE, GET LAGER, W, SEARCH LETTERBOX (you
find a bank card), GET CARD, UNLOCK DOOR (with key), OPEN DOOR, N (the door is locked and you
can't enter again), E, E, E, E, E, READ NOTICE (the SS America will set sail at 18:00 [406
turns]. after 406 turns the game ends), E (the officer tells you that only sailors with a dock pass
are allowed to pass), W, W, W, W, W, W, S, WEAR POT (without wearing the pot you are hit on the head
and enter the hospital), W, GET BOOTS, WEAR BOOTS (3 points), E, N, E, WAIT or LOOK until 1pm
(around 151 turns), SEARCH LETTERBOX (you find a paper), GET PAPER, EXAMINE PAPER (your cash number
is 9483), E, E, N, N, N, E, N, INSERT CARD, 9483, S, E, E, S, S, GET PASS (Shifty grabs the 10 pound

SAILOR (he is using a jacket as a blanket), GET JACKET (the sailor grabs the lager), GET HAT, WEAR

E (you must wear the hat, jacket, boots and trousers and carry the pass).
The security guard looks at you and says, "ah a sailor must be the last one." He takes
your Dock Pass and examines it, "all in order," he says, "proceed through the gates,
mind the step." You creep aboard the SS America disguised as a sailor. You have escaped!!!

-How to leave the police office when you are arrested:
Wait until the telephone starts to ring and the sergeant goes to answer it. you can now leave.
-If bit by a rat in the cellar:
U, E, N, N, N, E (the nurse rushes to you guiding you into a chair), WAIT, WAIT, WAIT (the nurse
collects you and treats your injury), W (the nurses intercept you. you are taken to the ward), N, N,
E, GET COAT, WEAR COAT (you can now leave the hospital).
