You need to catch a rodent where you found the mousetrap.
You need the rat poison once for the rat, and then again to get rid of another
obstacle.
Use a broken wine bottle to open the box.
Yes, you need to make your bedroom brighter. Then examine the room again.
Frighten the caretaker away in the graveyard. Clean the inscriptions.
There eventually will be something in the mailbox.
