Generalissimo Taker

#1 Post by terri »

A Spectrum game. Has random elements in it. Grammar and spelling are poor, but that may be an ESL (English as a Second Language) problem. There appear to be some glitches, or there is more than one way to finish the game.

I seem to be caught in endless loops. And stuck points.

1. On the train - if a send Andy away and kill the soldier and get his uniform, I am accused of killing him. If I don't do that, and wait until I am put off the train, I soon die, without the uniform. Maybe this should be done closer to the end of the game?

2. Can't seem to PLAY the cassette recorder.

3. The paper in the cell gives password clues one cannot read. How does one read them? Does one really need to go there? It takes a lot of time to get bailed out by Andy.

4. I can't get past the receptionist in the hall. I think I need to give him the chain. Can anyone help me find where it is?

5.The chemist surely wants some cocaine. To get that I need money. To get the money I need the key to get into Justin's room. I think the key is where the chain is (see above).

There are some apparent inconsistencies. You need to know Justin Geoff's name before you can get in to see him. But I have not found a way to get that. You can enter his name into the archive to get some information, but unless there is a bug, it seems illogical.

I haven't yet been able to get into the bookshop (from the sewers).

Help would be appreciated.

Thanks all.

Did you check out your coat? Sometimes you need more than two words. In this case three words to check out your coat, and four words to open the door.

Thanks.

I have the cocaine, and give it to the person that wants it. But I cannot get him to type in the code from the envelope?

Any help you can give me here?

I'm stuck again. While I can unlock the north door beyond the receptionist, I cannot open it.

Did you manage, and if so how?

Thought I was almost done, but no. Have to go back and redo things so I can keep the coat (to get on the train). Seems I have to give something to Andy, find myself in the cell, and not impaled and the coat does not disappear. At least that is what I can figure out.

I am going around in circles. Need some help in getting to the cell and not lose my coat (and objects) in the process. Do I need to tell Andy to leave here, or elsewhere, and he will eventually get me out of the cell? I thought that by giving him the burnt note, it would get me arrested and put in jail, but I die.

Very difficult game, despite all.

Yes, I am there as well. And also don't know what to do.

I presume one needs a password of some kind. In order to get that, I think one needs to go to the cell. And not lose the coat. You need the coat to get on the train, and you need to carry three objects with you, and for that you need the coat.

Getting into the cell gets you very "garbled" passwords, but it may be that is necessary.
Somewhere soldiers should get you and take you to the cell, without losing your coat. And you don't die.

I'm not sure it is important when/where you get "rid" of Andy. He cannot be with you when you kill the soldier on the train. I believe you can get into the cell without losing your coat, but I don't know how to do that.

So, I am not sure there is a bug, or whether we are not doing something we should be doing.

if i hit a soldier i get put in the cell and find the paper, looking at the paper a picture comes up showing passwords, one of which works to get past the soldiers at the complex. but how do you get the paper without losing your coat because it seems you need the coat to get on the train. Illogical play. However i have managed to finish the game.
