Get Lamp Interviews

Jason Scott, author of the interactive fiction documentary "GET LAMP" has posted unused footage from interviews that were not published in the commercial DVD boxset to the Internet Archive...

Interesting stuff there which you can view online as video clips.

Of particular interest to "brits" and worth checking out is Richard Hewison's lengthy interview which covers the history of the UK text adventure scene from the early eighties where he talks about the 8-bit computers, the birth of text adventures in the UK, Magnetic Scrolls, Level 9 , Zenobi Software etc... :)

TAB is an offline, downloadable, parser-based retro text adventure/interactive creator for Windows XP and above.
It is similar to popular 80's adventure creators like QUILL, PAW, STAC or GAC.

I thought that it was a missed opportunity to pass over the European contributions to the genre. Too bad Richard's contributions weren't edited into the main doc, but at least this is nice having. Thanks for the heads-up!
