I've gotten into the pod.

The manual instructions say you need a matter translator. Maybe there was one we missed somewhere?

After the pod has been launched the game tells you're just outside a natural matter translator before it gives the room description. Don't know how to use it though :(

Neither do I.

Short of contacting the author, I don't know where to go next. Googling his name doesn't give me an address, other than he is/was from the UK.

Have you tried SAY "MATTER" ? (The quotes are obtained by either Control or Alt + P depending on the emulator.)

:thumb: That's it !!! Thanks a lot !!! I'm now flying through space :D . In my emulator Zxspectrum4 you have to type Right Alt +P, but it worked.

Unfortunately I've got the same problem. I got the password to part 2 plus an extra password for collecting an object from one of the other planets but, when I want to load part 2 it loads part 1 again. Seems the tape image is incomplete or wrong. Normally when it's a tape image with the Spectrum4 emulator you can look at all the files on the tape image and forward or backward the tape but with this tape image it's not possible to see the contends of the tape.

I only got 75 points when I solved the game. What score did you have? I've no idea how to obtain the other 25 points. I did use all the objects inside the game.

I've tried various emulators and can't get it to load as well.

Though I see that, size-wise, the .zip file is only a little bit bigger than the unzipped file, so, shouldn't that mean it is in there somewhere?

I only got 70 points. Were the other five for visiting the other planets?

Yes, There are two more planets where you can land to obtain two more objects needed in the second part. They give you an extra code which you must enter at the beginning of part 2.

I saw that the game in 1996 was republished on a PD tape and/or disk containing 15 adventure games by Dave Fountain of Fountain PD maybe he still has a copy of this disk somewhere. More information including an address of him can be found on the Worldofspectrum website. It seems nowadays he sells lawnmowers.

I get a score of 75 too. I wonder if there is something to do at the fungus wall, as it seems a little strange for it to exist.

But I only visited one other planet. And still got 75. so I guess I am not really finished, or at least up to your point.

I got the other object, but still only 75 points.

Did you take the rock from pluto ? This gives you the other code.

Could be, but there are no more rooms (at least none with a room description) nor objects inside this part of the game.
