We've got plenty of "African Adventures" in the database... but I reckon that this one for PC...
Jungle Bunny
http://solutionarchive.com/game/id%2C47 ... Bunny.html
is just a port of the old C64 adventure
Jungle Bunny/African Adventure

as Dorothy's PC solution fits the C64 game.
I've not spotted the PC version archived anywhere online.
I'll combine the entries soon. I'm wondering if the original C64 game was by Peter Gerrard (we don't have an author credited currently). It looks very similar to some of his other titles (such as the Lost Wallet). I've not looked at the code, but another pointer maybe towards Peter is that he used to use the character Professor Deadrock in his Dragon User columns.

Re: African Adventures
No credits are given on the printed "cover" that the tape was mounted to, but the editor is Peter Gerrard, so it's probably reasonable to presume that he was the author unless further evidence to the contrary comes to light.
Re: African Adventures
Good spot. In that case, I'm pretty sure that it's by Pete Gerrard then; although I'll add the reasons to the entry when I merge them.
Re: African Adventures
I wonder if the other 64 Tape Computing adventures are by Pete as well...
True Spit

Spaced Out

Arctic Wastes

Spaced Out and True Spit seem to be programmed similarly (on the surface at least) and definitely feature the Gerrard sense of humour... either Mike or Peter!

Re: African Adventures
Jungle Bunny seems to be very similar to Peter Gerrard's Castlemaze Adventure but changed to an African setting instead of a castle.

Lol! Good spot. Yes, looking at the solutions side-by-side, you're completely right. That's a great bit of recycling by Peter, there.Paul Ingerson wrote: ↑Wed Jan 12, 2022 1:44 amJungle Bunny seems to be very similar to Peter Gerrard's Castlemaze Adventure but changed to an Afican setting instead of a castle.
I tagged Artic Wastes! as one of Peter's too, as that is described as a sequel to Jungle Bunny.

Underground Adventure & Artic Wastes have a lot of similarities, but it's not a straight "palette swap" like Castlemaze/Jungle Bunny. It's largely the same objects and puzzles, but things are laid out slightly differently.
I do feel that Spaced Out and True Spit are Peter's too, as they're totally written in his style, but there's no firm evidence on those yet.

Re: African Adventures
Just to make things even more confusing, Castlemaze Adventure itself seems to be, uh, heavily inspired by Greg Hassett's Sorceror's Castle. Not a striaight copy (there are two extra puzzles and some changes to the map including getting rid of a couple of mazes) but still too similar for coincidence.
