La Diosa de Cozumel

Has anyone completed this game? https://solutionarchive.com/game/id%2C2 ... 2C+La.html
In PC version, or Amiga, or Atari ST.

I can't do that.
In the beginning of the 2nd part of the game (you have to launch parts 1 and 2 separately from the start screen, using a save for part 2), you have
to find one important thing in a temple - and visiting dark rooms there damages your health, so you die of a poisoning after several turns.

It seems that the game just counts turns, but - in PC (and Amiga, maybe AtariST as well) the gameplay is quite different from Commodore 64/Spectrum/AmstradCPC/MSX versions. For those platforms it is very easy as the light source is unlimited there, but in PC/Amiga we have only 4 matches and a limited amount of oil in the lamp: even following the available walkthrough for the PC (? certainly not AmstradCPC etc.) version, I die much sooner than being able to find and take the required object.

I think that it is either a bug or I am doing something terribly wrong. And I have tried everything at that temple, including running the game on Amstrad1512@PCem instead of DOSBox, using time-slowing TSRs etc.

If anyone wants to try, I attach my saves: one is the very beginning of Part 2 (you have to choose it as start), and another is at the temple entrance.

It'd probably be worth talking to the Spanish adventurers over at CAAD as they know everything about those games.

I know there was a solution in CAAD 51, for example http://www.caad.es/fichas/caad-51.html

and that they have a PC CGA and EGA version of the game up there http://www.caad.es/fichas/la-diosa-de-c ... y-ega.html

Most of the main players in the community are very active on Twitter, if you're on there. Such as Juanjo Muñoz (@Juanjoide), Zona Fi (@zona_fi), Uto (@Uto_Dev) etc.

Yes, they probably do. I used to search their forum, but did not find much useful. And I am hesitant to register there as I am not sure they would gladly accept someone who does not speak Spanish :) But if nobody here will be interested in this game, then that would be the only thing left to do, yes.

Hmm. I did not see it before, but that's a very strange solution!
And an abbreviated one that does not fit any version of the game I know.
You can compare it with solutions for PC/Amiga or for AmstradCPC/Spectrum versions. Like already the first line "Nadar" would get you nowhere unless you put it as "Nadar Cozumel" or "Nadar hacia la costa". Then he tells to go E and take baston - but it is two times E, not one, etc.
So his description of the temple section is incomplete or incorrect as well (unless there is and abridged version of the game somewhere?). You can't open the tomb before unlocking it in another room etc.

Their version is the same available in TDC and everywhere. I have reviewed and hosted it here: https://www.old-games.ru/game/11550.html
