Possible solution problem - The Mummy's Crypt

#1 Post by hackersanon » Thu Aug 20, 2020 12:31 am

Feedback from my RZXing adventurer..

There are a couple of missing directions between rooms but I didn't keep track -- not hard to work out.

But I got stuck here: SCOOP STONE (in mug) -- since no mug has been seen or obtained!

The mug starts the game in the empty cabin.

I found further minor problems with Doreen's solution, but I suppose this may be another case of multiple game versions floating around. I was playing the highest available Zenobi version (v2.1) from here:
https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/entry/6 ... mmys_Crypt

And I noticed these issues:
* X SIGN at the start does not reveal anything; you must READ SIGN.
* LOOK ON TABLE does not work to find the pin. You must LOOK UNDER TABLE.
* BLOW BAG, PRICK BIRD does not work (bird still asleep). You must BLOW BAG, EXPLODE BAG (waking the bird), PRICK BIRD.

Stuck again right near the end, unfortunately.
Solution says CLIMB DRAPES, but they fall and smother, causing death.
RZX file here:

Any ideas?

If the drapes are smothering you then you're carrying too much. You can only carry the wirecutters. The solution says to drop everything else (aside from the wirecutters) before you climb up.
