The Slightly Tricky Locations Quiz

Since everybody's doing so well in the Adventure Challenge, I thought we might ramp up the difficulty level a bit and get totally unfair :D

This one is all about how well you know your games. The rules are quite simple.
- I'll give you all or part of a location description
- The description will be from the first three locations in the game in question, ie. a location you can reach with a maximum of two moves from where you started
- Simply name the game
- You may only guess at one game at a time until someone else has made a guess
- Descriptions in italics have already been guessed

As a few of you might not be familiar with the finer points of Larry the Lemming's Urge For Extinction, we'll only be looking at games from Infocom, Magnetic Scrolls and Level 9. At least for now :)

Ready? Here we go....

Game 1:
You are on an east-west road south of the river. A gigantic orc's head is carved into the cliff north of the river. [Dungeon Adventure]

Game 2:
You are on an east-west path on the northern side of the encampment. (Infidel)

Game 3:
The trail here turns dry and dusty. To the northwest is the fork leading to the Long Road, and the trail continues to the southeast. [Enchanter]

Game 4:
You find yourself in the murky gloom of the dying forest. Northward, just out of the forest you can see an area of moorland. [The Pawn]

Game 5:
You are standing on a crude but sturdy wooden foot bridge crossing a deep ravine. The path runs north and south here. [Zork II].

I don´t know the others at the moment, but I´ll think about them. However I must admit I never played the Magnetic scrolls adventures and the only Infocom adventure I played was Zork 3

No Infocom???
Not even You're-west-of-a-white-house-Zork?
Well, if you can tell me the game completed message from Larry the Lemming - off the top of your head, of course, I'll let you off the hook

Also correct :)
I updated the rules a bit. You can only make new guesses after someone else has made a guess :)

No, basically because Infocom never released games for the MSX computer (the computer I owned back then). Zork 3 was the first Infocom Adventure I played, but only in 1993 when I got my first PC and I did not like it. The only other Infocom game I bought, and which I still have somewhere, was Return to Zork.

I'm guessing that Game 5 is Zork II.

Impressive - I was pretty sure they released games for every computer under the sun.
Zork 3 really is the odd man out in the early series. The first two are fairly whimsical, whereas the third game is a much more gloomy and "serious" affair. RTZ wasn't half bad, though I think Zork: Grand Inquisitor matched the humour of the early games a lot better.

Right you are - well, it seems I'll have to up the ante a bit for the next round :)
