Re: Adventure Challenge
Yes At first it seemed difficult until I understood the first picture.
I'm quite busy at the moment, but I'll try to upload a new challenge by the end of this week.

Sorry for the delay, but here is the next one:

This should make it easy:
Re: Adventure Challenge
While everybody is busy searching for the solution I just wanted to share that I found below topic which I found on a forum very enlightening:
Trying to do a ripple restore:
** Ripple Steps
1.) DownloadMissingNugets Download missing nugets for NServiceBus.WebSphereMQ
2.) ExplodeDownloadedNugets Explode nugets at C:\dev\Particular\NServiceBus.WebSphereMQ\src\packages
3.) ProcessDirectives Process directives from nugets
4.) FixReferences Fix References
2013-05-15 13:50:40: [Debug] Searching for log4net,2.0.0.0 from http://builds.nservicebus.com/guestAuth/app/nuget/v1/FeedService.svc
2013-05-15 13:50:40: [Debug] Downloading From Cache: C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\ripple\NServiceBus.Interfaces.4.0.0.0-unstable3041.nupkg
2013-05-15 13:50:40: [Debug] Downloading From Cache: C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\ripple\NServiceBus.4.0.0.0-unstable3041.nupkg
4.0.0.0-unstable3041 is pulled from the ripple cache but there is a newer one on the buildserver. How can I force ripple to pull it from the buildserver?
Doing a:
ripple restore -c whatever
Fixes it
[Edit. To remove automatic parsing of the URL. Alex, I assume that you didn't really want the URL to become a clickable link and I hope you don't mind me changing it - Alastair.]

Re: Adventure Challenge
for the ones who still don't get it , I guess the 1973 single release by Roger Daltrey summarises the above hint.
Re: Adventure Challenge
OK, I have no idea what any of that MissingNuggets technobabble was about, and I can't see where Roger Daltrey fits in. But based on the pictures, is it "The Beginning of the End"?
(The beginning of The Simpsons, the co-ordinates for a town called Of, and Wile E. Coyote apparently facing his end. Then the bottle starting to run out of ketchup.)

Re: Adventure Challenge
good guess, but alas not the right one.
However you did get the meaning of the coordinates right which narrows it down to only 935 games .
Some small hints:
-The first clue is the title. The third picture I think is the most difficult to guess. To understand the first one you should look for the most important "thing" in this scene of the beginning of the Simpsons. If you understand it, you'll only find two games in the database and then you'll understand the meaning of the third picture.
-The second clue is not about the title. Search it in the database and you will find only two games.
-The third clue might look difficult to understand, but look at it closely and you'll find something.
-Search on the internet the title of Rogers single and it will give you a cryptic clue of what you've found in the third clue
and Alastair no problem you removed the link. It's of no importance for the clue. There is a reason I choose this specific post although I don't have a clue what this post is about.

Re: Adventure Challenge
I guess everybody stopped playing this quiz so I'll just tell the solution:
-The first picture of the first clue shows the value of Maggie.
-The second clue is Heinz Ketchup. If you would search Heinz in the database you'll find only two games made by that company.
-If you take the trouble to look closely at the third clue you'll notice a small part is written in Italics.
-If you search the name of the 1973 single of Roger Daltrey on the internet you would learn it is "Giving it all away". This was meant as a cryptic clue that the part in Italics from the third clue is an anagram of the game title.
-In case you don't get the anagram: 1=9;2=7;3=8;4=5;5=6;7=3;8=2;9=10;10=12;11=1;12=11
So if anyone wants to make a new challenge go ahead.

Sorry, I just ran out of steam
I'll be happy to join a new challenge at some point, but right now I have a) too much work, b) a film festival and c) 139 updates breathing down my neck
