Re: Scott Adams graphical adventures. S.A.G.A

Welcome!

I cannot supply a list, but I can tell you that I have yet to find a graphical version of any Scott Adams adventure for the Dragon computer.

Re: No longer receiving email notifications

I used to receive an email notification when something I submitted had been accepted and entered into the database, This part is voluntary on the part of whoever accepts the submission. Since an email notification sends the email address of that person to whoever submitted the information I persona...

Re: Authoring System Not Currently Showing

Curious. Looking at the edit pages for various games, the "Systems" entries for all of them are empty (they all show "n/a"), and yet all of the games show up on their relevant system lists. So the data is still in the system, which is a relief, but no longer shows up on the individual game entry pag...

Re: Submission error: Invalid input: return_address

So I'm not sure whether it got through or not -- anyway, seems like a bug. The solution got through but the message "Invalid input: return_address" is a bug. I thought that it had been dealt with - see viewtopic.php?f=2&t=930 - but perhaps it never went away, that's one of the problems with intermi...

Re: Where do Apple IIe games go?

Commodore 128 games are listed under C64/128 with a note that they are C128 programs. So I guess all Apple IIe programs should be listed under Apple II with a note explaining which Apple II version they work on. The Apple IIGS differs from the other Apple II models by a considerable amount, so much ...

Re: Printing Basic listings from VICE emulator

Given that printing on a C64 is rather convoluted (thanks to Jack Tramiel refusing to pay any more money to Microsoft) the best I can offer is to point you to the relevant section in the VICE manual:

Re: Author - Who to credit?

I would really like to credit authorship to whoever created the puzzles and atmosphere of the game, otherwise you are in danger of crediting Graeme Yeandle as co-author of all Quill games! In this instance I have no idea if the coders worked with the designer in creating the puzzles or atmosphere, o...

Author - Who to credit?

I've come across a game where the title screens state that it was coded by Dave Lincoln and Gareth Davis, and designed by Martin Cowan. Who should I credit as author?

Re: C64 - Adventure 1 The Mutant Spiders

Hello, and welcome to CASA. I haven't played this game but is this - https://solutionarchive.com/game/id%2C3762/Mutant+Spiders%2C+The.html - it? If it is so, then to avoid you having to read the solution and inadvertently see spoilers I will tell you that you need to build a raft - you will have to ...

Re: Board attachment limit reached

According to the stats the size of posted attachments is 19.99 MiB, thus I assume that the max is 20 MiB. However I cannot see where this limit is set, but even if I could find it and discovered I could change it I would not touch it: it is for Jacob to decide on such matters. In the meantime perhap...

Just a shame that the games cannot be played on Mac and online.
Perhaps it will run under Wine, see https://www.winehq.org/ (though you may need a third party application, https://wiki.winehq.org/Third_Party_Applications).

Transylvania III for MSX?

I see that we have MSX/MSX2 as a platform for Transylvania III. There is an MSX version but is it an official port? (Also, "ICON Games" are charging $2.50 for the ported game, do the people who produced the original know of this?)

Re: Powerstar (Atari)

Stonic it was Alex who wrote the new solution, please don't give me the credit. As to the errors I mentioned, they might have crept in when Strident pasted your almost complete solution in the thread but they are there in the above pasted solution (after entering the corridor from the robot room and...

Re: Powerstar (Atari)

I'm impressed that you were able to decompress it at all. You may remember the Quest adventures Catacombs and Cornucopia , on the off chance that it may work I applied the same technique here (see below). It worked as far as the verbs and nouns, but unlike the Quest games I have been unable to deco...
