Re: Scott Le Brun & VZ200/300 text adventures

I have typed in 'Adventure' by Scott Le Brun, so we now have two of his games. I've also submitted details for the database, screen grab, map and solution.

Here are the files for anyone that's interested. I've included a disk image and vz snapshot. They're both the same program. Download whichever ...

Re: SC-3000 Rabbit Hole... Unlisted Adventures

It sounds to me like I should avoid commas and spaces. That's no big deal, so long as I know. I'll try to remember to rename the zip file before sending.

Re: SC-3000 Rabbit Hole... Unlisted Adventures

Since when? I've been uploading zip files with commas in the file name for years. There are no commas in the file names once the're unzipped. Anyway, I've renamed the zip files and uploaded them again, so see how that goes.

Re: SC-3000 Rabbit Hole... Unlisted Adventures

I played 'The City of Doom' today and uploaded a map and solution. It will be available as soon as one of the admins gets around to it. That should only be a day or two.

Re: SC-3000 Rabbit Hole... Unlisted Adventures

I haven't played those ones yet. I see from the YouTube video and Craig Whitmore's screen grabs on Facebook that part 2 has a title screen and welcome screen that aren't included in the version that I've got. Mine is a disk image, not a cassette image, so I suspect that I'm missing the files from ...

Re: ADRIFT platforms

If you have an ADRIFT game, always open it with the ADRIFT 4 Runner. then you will be told what version it is, unless it is an ADRIFT 4 game. If it is an ADRIFT 4 game, the game will start.

That's pretty much what I'd do if I just want to play a game, but to identify the correct version, I ...

Re: ADRIFT platforms

I was updating my Adrift collection and database recently and the thing that really pissed me off was trying to work out which interpreter I needed to run each game. It all boiled down to Adrift 3.8, 3.9, 4.0 or 5.0. It doesn't matter which platform the interpreter runs on, so long as you know what ...

Re: Mike Snyder's TRS-80 CoCo Adventures

Each issue of Coco-Cassette came with a two-sheet flyer that included one or two paragraphs of chit chat or special offers and a summary of the programs in that issue. It looks like the disk version became available from issue #26, August 1984, where it says, "We are now offering the Coco-Cassette ...

Re: Mike Snyder's TRS-80 CoCo Adventures

I have lots of info on CoCo games, as I had done a lot of seaching for these in the past. Most of Mike Snyder's games were published by T&D Subscription Software in Coco-Cassette. This was a cassette-based subscription service. There were 118 cassettes issued from July 1982 to April 1992. Most of ...

Re: C64 Mountain Valley

With WinVICE version 2.4, I can't find any "true drive emulation" setting, so maybe it's on by default in the x64sc.exe version, but not the x64.exe version. It's still a mystery why WinVICE version 3.6.1 x64sc.exe has trouble with the g64 disk image, even though "true drive emulation" is on.

Re: C64 Mountain Valley

This C64 emulator stuff is really weird. I was originally using the x64.exe executable for VICE version 2.4. That didn't work. Then I downloaded the latest VICE version 3.6.1 (which I don't like). I used the x64sc.exe executable, as there is no x64.exe executable. That didn't work.

I tried Gareth's ...

Thanks for all your work on this Marcus.

Yes there was a problem with the linked M&C game file...a working version is now on the site.
