Re: SC-3000 Rabbit Hole... Unlisted Adventures

I'm pretty sure that D. Van Kan, of Death Satellite and Pyramid, is Danny Van Kan as he also contributed programs to Sega Computer magazine.

Re: Grandstand Leisure

Thanks to Garry's files, I can now verify that Enterprise Escape is actually a port of Bob Retelle's Trek Adventure.

Death Satellite seems familiar, but I can't spot anything that matches so perhaps, especially as it has an actual author name associated with it, it was an original game.

Re: SC-3000 Rabbit Hole... Unlisted Adventures

Thanks for those. They seem to work great.

And, yes, Enterprise Escape is actually just Bob Retelle's Trek Adventure https://bluerenga.blog/2019/04/08/trek-adventure-1980/

I wonder if Aardvark et al. were paid for these games?

I wouldn't mind giving them a go. I'm not particularly enjoying the "MAME" experience.

Re: SC-3000 Rabbit Hole... Unlisted Adventures

After much skullduggery, I've managed to get three of the Grandstand Leisure titles onto disk. This means you can play them on blueMSX, which is far better than struggling with MAME. The three titles are: Death Satellite, Enterprise Escape and Mars Adventurer. I'll send some screen grabs shortly ...

Re: SC-3000 Rabbit Hole... Unlisted Adventures

Good work. I'll try to do some screen grabs when I can get MAME to behave and extra details as they come to hand.

Two that you're missing are 'Alien' and 'Case of the Mad Mummy' from Dotsoft. Annoyingly, some of the Dotsoft games go by different names on different platforms under different ...

Re: SC-3000 Rabbit Hole... Unlisted Adventures

I've added skeleton entries for the games we've found; so we've gone from eight to twenty-six games for the SC-3000 now.

All the entries will need screenshots, where available, and padding out a little.

Re: New Zealand Adventures

I found a ZX-81 snapshot of Robots on Terminal IV at http://bukstergames.bizhat.com/ . This is definitely a text adventure. It's a bit difficult to play because you need to press the dot key for a space and the keyboard appears to be partially crippled, e.g. no backspace.

Excellent find, Garry ...

Re: SC-3000 Rabbit Hole... Unlisted Adventures

Yeah, I've joined the SC-3000 group on Facebook. They seem to have a lot of the files in a usable format (not sure usable on what, though :) ) but don't seem to have any sort of central archive for them... Although they seem to share them if you ask.

I'm just having a look at having a go at getting ...

New Zealand Adventures

While I've been looking for SC-3000 text adventures, I've been coming across a lot of other interesting software titles created in New Zealand... several of which could potentially be text adventures.

I'm going to dump some of my findings into this thread and then write them up as entries at a ...
