Perhaps there was a second edition of the original German book for C64, as I don't see Space Mission in there, despite it being typed-in here...

I've been looking up LYSCo, following your recent submissions, Garry.
I've added a description...

Re: Arthur Davis Detective Encounter
Advertising for software that was not yet finished (or even started!) was relatively common in the 80s
It was, but the advertising over a period of five months; the fact that they started with two games, then expanded to four; the fact that it was originally for a single platform, then two, then ...

I'll try and check with one of the QL guys. I find it hard to believe that they haven't typed that one in.

Re: Arthur Davis Detective Encounter

No copies are archived but I'm guessing they probably were.
What happened to #1 and #2?
No idea. Not found a reference to those yet,
There are no dumps of the Atari versions at AtariMania. Haven't checked anywhere else.
They seem to be absent from all the Atari ...

Re: VICE C64 multi part tape game
You certainly mix it up in terms of playing on different platforms. Always interesting to see which games you pick to tackle for map-making.

Peter Shaw Adventures
Peter Shaw was one of the many (very young!) teenagers that were writing programs for books and magazines back in the 1980s. His work for Tim Hartnell's Interface Publications included books for the Spectrum, Oric and BBC Micro. He had various technical writing, reviewing and editorial roles for ...

Arthur Davis Detective Encounter
Every so often I come across a game, missing from all archives, that I'd really love to play! They're probably not adventures, but these games "starring famous Welsh detective Arthur Davis" for Atari, Vic-20 and C64, sound interesting! (Only appear in ads in Compute 30-35)
