Re: Adventure Master

Useful and interesting information, thanks.

Mario Moeller, author of Dracula, was another of your compatriot iirc. Presumably his (Quilled) work made its way over to the UK thanks to Dorothy Millard & through the C64 PD scene.

Christmas Eve Nightmare was on one of the BRE public domain disks, like ...

Re: Adventure Master

I will also do a bit of research. I remember looking up some stuff about this system because of the link with the author Jean Craighead George.

Yeah, I'd agree with that; having read some of her stories. Definitely an interesting character.

Re: ADVEN-80

Yes, General Hospital is a text adventure... dates from at least as early as 1983, from the version in the .ark file...

Re: ADVEN-80

I've found a nice post by Andrew Cummins, one of the team that used ADVEN-80 for the ZX Spectrum game Castle Blackstar; which they originally self-published, but was then taken on by a larger publisher.

As a user of Interactive Fiction my experience started with (as for
so many others) Colossal ...

Re: ADVEN-80

His site has two archives of material, including a demonstration game by him and also one by Robert W. Rasch.

I see that Robert W. Rasch is associated with a Colecovision title "General Hospital". No idea what type of game that is. One to add to my research list...

As an aside, there's a ...

Re: Jörg Walkowiak Adventure Books

I notice we had some of the Jörg Walkowiak games under the other spelling of his name as Joerg Walkowiak, so I've retagged those temporarily to the Jörg spelling; although some of them will be being combined with other entries.

Yes, that's a very interesting thread; especially learning about the Data Welt type-in Gefahr im Kaufhaus.

No rush for anything... Just randomly fell down yet another rabbit-hole today.
