Gee, I hadn't even considered that the game would be based on Bunyan's story. I don't remember the reviews or intro saying anything about this. I just figured that the bible would help you solve the puzzles (which are at almost every step along the way).

I'm not sure I want to download the entire ...

pilgrim's progress

Hi folks
A while back I tried a game with a religious theme. This involves reading the bible at various locations especially to get verbs. With reference checks to the "good book" I got a little into it, but then got stuck. It really is a game and challenging in its way.

Is anyone interested in ...

OK - you have suffered long enough. Since Jacob, you did not play Firienwood, which BTW may have been the reason that Alastair said we should play the games in order - it helps, you would not have the magic word from that game.

I've finished it - I don't believe it. So here are the hints. The ...

Heh heh - you want a private message, but not for anyone else?? Shame, shame...

In the first part, you got secret words, one on a wall, one on when you entered a particular location. Maybe this will happen here as well? Though it hasn't happened to me.

No, I have had no luck with ...

This game is a bit better than Firiendwood. It seems to have dead ends, and another maze (with nothing in it but the chance to get points for killing things). So I think it can be avoided.

If you do enter the maze, don't kill the vulture as he is a marker for you to get out.

But the random ...

firienwood

If anyone finds this game interesting, please let me know. You spend most of your time avoiding the Balrog which you can't kill unless you anticipate him. Points depend on the number of monsters you kill either with the sword or the staff. While there are some choice points. many are all basically ...

Well I'm done. The dagger was the other 20 points.

Solution written though it took a while.

Time to take a short break - I can write things in the dust here.

Yes I do get that message.

And I don't think I dropped off the silver dagger in the tent.

So I'll play 5/8 of the game again and see what score I get.

Thanks for your help. It's still an unsatisfyting game in my opinion.

See you at Woodland Terror.

Ok so what do you need to do where you find ther mask?
RUB LAMP did not work - I died.
What did you have with you?
I can't return with the key to the tent, so it must not be one of the artifacts that give you points.

I only finish with 480.
So just to be able to write up a solution with 500 points ...

Before I redo everything again, do I need to have the statue of the duck with me? When I enter "south of the reply?" Whether I rub the lamp first or take the mask first, I die.

No, you are not really a way behind.

To get the key you need to have the pole to use in the crushing room.
To get the pole you need to go down one of those holes, find your way around back to where you dropped some things (at the other hole), drop things, and go back and retrieve things, i.e. walk ...
