You mean all I had to do was concentrate and wait? I concentrated but didn't wait. A combination of those worked. Aargh. I re-wrote my notes and replayed the game. I am now finished. Did you move the body? How about helping me finish another of Peter's games - Escape from Prison planet? Also WoS. I ...

House of Horrors

This is a game (WOS) with a very limited parser. I have run out of verbs to try. It does not appear to be very long. I got the door open, but then don't know what to do at either the padlocked window, at the rat and the dagger (which I can't get), at the chef, at the telegraph pole, and at the ...

I'll try. My notes are a mess. Arrows all over the place.

I've done part 1.
In part 2, I've talked to the guardian who wants the book of time. and a key. . I got a token, then a coin. I got a map, a token and a silver key. Made a fishing pole and created a gangway.

I'm going to have to redo all ...

transpo 95

This is a game by Peter Clark, whose games are often very good and which I enjoy. I see that I have not been able to finish it. I have lots of notes, but since I have not played it for a while, I remember nothing.

Any takers on this?

WOS game.

Good question. I don't even know the purpose of the game. There seem to be so many forks and junctures. It's so vague.

I'll probably fiddle with it some more, and maybe something will be clearer, but with no end in sight, I wouldn't want to subject anyone to an unfinished game.

I am revisiting this. I am not sure whether giving Bill the rope is a good idea. I wish that there was a score feature on this so that one knew whether one was making progress....

Gob

Available on WOS

There are random elements here. Anyone want to play?

Here is what I have done so far:

You are faced with a riddle (Six large books bound with leather; all very heavy yet light as a feather; how many words do they contain; minus those that do not remain?)

You are Sturnfllight ...

Hi Doreen

You need a harpoon for the octopus.

You need to wear something that will scare the girls away.

You need to chop the tree but the axe won't help. You need another implement. Plus some protection.

Once you cross the gorge, eventually you will find what you need to deal with the rocks.

Even though I am not playing, it's great to see some collaboration in a game. Onward and upward fellow players!!! I was beginning to think everyone found more involving interests.

I hadn't thought of using the tidybot to pick up my stuff for me. It took long enough for me to figure out the maze, the fact that some objects caused exhaustion more quickly than others, and all the rest rooms, let alone the vocabulary.

Yes, I noticed that too, about the huge droid, but not much ...

I think I have more problems with "guess-the-verb" than you both have.
Anyway sounds like you are both on our way.

Keep truckin'.

You have more objects that I do. I don't have the porridge, the note, the memo, the osmium weight. I guess I figured I didn't really need them. There is a limit to how many objects you can carry, and I didn't go back and retrieve them.

I also have the huge droid with me, but have not been able to ...

I am still stuck. Of course you can join in. Typing HELP gives Brain Park's address, but do you suppose he is still living in the same place after 15 years.

Enjoy the greek maze. It really is not too difficult if you go from left to right.

Have fun.

delivere2: escape to eskelos

Hi out there.
If anyone is still playing games, I have a challenging one for you. It's available at WoS. It has great logic puzzles. I've managed to figure out the maze. Have quite a few points, but am stuck at opening the vaclock door at the maintenance shaft.

The game was written by Brian Parks ...

Isn't it funny how that happens? You post a question, go back to the game, and sometimes voila! you've found your own solution.

BYW - some of the games you mentioned are not in the Treasures of Infocom package. Only the "good ones". I had just bought my first computer, and this entire package was ...
