The water is in the well. FILL BUCKET works.

My, my. Everyone is stuck in a different place.

OK - did the thing with the egg, and followed your route (didn't have enough objects with me to map it.)

In the sentry room just before you are taken to the Torture room - there are some exits there ...

I don't recall coming across a torture room.

You need the water for the electric chair (which is past the reception). The candle (dynamite) is in that area.

The dog may very well eat the sandwich, but how do you get out of there? I must have missed an exit somewhere.

Just drop the creature (either once or twice) in the phone booth when you hear the phone ring.

How does one get out of the tunnels?
Is the wire needed to open the hatch?
The transporter has buttons. The compuer says there are instructions? Where can they be found?

I don't think I have the correct sequence here?

Jacob, you may need to explain to us/me (old fogies) why the system is outdated. Once one logs on, one can see where new messages are posted. You can read what you want to read, print if anything needs to be printed, respond, etc.
So, the issue must be how much time/effort it takes for you to ...

I've made a bit more progress.

To get past the stranger you need to buy two objects. Exploring in that area you find a candle, which turns out is a stick of dynamite. Carry the bucket of water with you.

When I threw it at the dog, he retrieved it, brought it back to me, and I was blown up. But ...

I'm hoping you mean the "toaster" maze.

SE, N, E, N, E, S, E, S, S, W, N, W, S, W, N, E, N, E, S -

this allowed for 19 moves - I think if you go in another direction first, the number of moves may be different.

Yup, lots of mazes.

Nice to see you back.

It's a Spectrum game, though to my knowledge Peter never wrote for this machine. It's available at WOS.

This is one of Preter Killworth's games. It says it's for children - ha!
It's full of mathematical-type puzzles - quite challenging, some of them.

Anyway I am stuck (past the middle) in the "three-dimensional cube" rock room where E/W changes the tecture, N/S changes the colour and U/D changes the ...

jewel of prophecy

This is one of Audrey Remic's games. It does not allow text entry, just choosing letters (and directions) from a menu.

It's part of a compliation with several games in it available at WOS.

Other than the sophomoric humour, it's not all that bad and not very challenging as everything is done for ...

Thanks Alastair

Help would be appreciated.

I don't think there is another way to get to the "maux" area. You probably can say "maux" at any location.
