No, you cannot assume that. There is another location you must visit before leaving. Both of the objects you found (first go east) are necesary in the move studio.

I am beyond frustrated. I want to throw the stone, and I want to use the belt. THROW STONE WITH BELT gets me the message "that's hardly effective." So I should make the sling first. But how? MAKE SLING WITH BELT doesn't work. MAKE worked with the bow and twine, so why not here?
I even went back to ...

Two word or four word parser? I thought I had tried every possible combination using either the belt or the thongs. Yup, it is a "find the right verb" problem, even though I have managed to decipher some of the verbs. Chase and drive may be synonomous.

Oh well, I better get used to this. No one ...

At the move studio:

Use the two objects you found in the other room.

You can leave the way you came or go in a different direction for a little, completely irrelevant fun.

Well, I can't get on the horse.

But I still think one should explore up the path (where your feet hurt), plus at the cave with the figure, and maybe the other locations that appear to be dead ends, before one goes off into the desert.

Twigs suggest to me a fire. The stone to be used in a slingshot ...

OK. Thanks Alastair. Knew we could count on you. Maybe the writer is not a native English speaker?

Better, now that I know where to highlight it.

I had written another long-winded reply, but I lost it. Maybe it's better that way.

Now that the issue appears to be resolved, can we get back to helping each other out? Or playing along together?

Darius, you may want to try Peneless. Alastair ...

Crumb Alastair, I can barely see it unless I highlight it. Don't know whether I would have ever done that had I not known it was there.

Neat idea though. For those with good vision.

As for me, I have finished the game with Doreen's help, and am now in a position to give "obscure" clues (just like ...

If you like hints Darius, try some of the games where hints are available. Some of them are mine. Occasionally I have written out words in CAPITALS which is of course, a blatant spoiler. But that is because you could search hours for the correct verb.

I'll have to think of creative ways of giving ...

This was an OK idea.

You could also write the clues blackwards. Or scramble them.

If people are playing with you, I admit it is harder not to spoil it. But if many people are stuck in the same place and we have one brilliant wizard among us, (s)he helps everyone get over the hurdle.

Most often many folks provide what I call "obscure" hints (Jacob being one of those folks - very obscure in some cases - right JG?).

However, speaking for me (and Doreen as well I hope), by the time we write for help, we have been playing the game for some time. Me, I am at the end of my rope ...

Sorry - wrong game. That was another private-eye game where I couldn't get out of the chair.

To get the dial open, you need to examine the chess pieces. Try all the pieces on a chessboard - one of them is the correct one.

My stuck places:
How to get the shining object out of the chimney?

How to ...

I still don't know how to kill and skin the deer, nor how to get the horses.

However, I have made a boat out of the tree trunk, explored and got a drum. But where and how to use it?

There has got to be something obvious we are missing.

I had thought of that too, but didn't know how.

Will try again.
