Quest for the Power Rod

Hi folks

There are several places where I am stuck.

The first is at the barbed wire. While I can get into the clearing, there does not seem to be anything to do there.

Another place is after a create a gap, there is a complex maze, which does not appear to lead anywhere, though I acknowledge I ...

Despite being up and running in City, I don't have a clue how to proceed. You spoke of sections and I presume this is section one. You need to make a reservation at the hotel, and give objects to the correct people. I can locate the 10 objects, and have tried to drop them in the right rooms. There ...

Yes - I got things working. There are four games in this pack and I played Wonderland first. Limited yes. But logical.

I've tried the other ones - Museum - I am stuck in. Sailor appears to have a bug in it.

So I'm ready to tackle City.

Hi Amby

I am trying to play this game, and I cannot download it. Can you tell me what commands to enter?

I get the message(s)

To what drive to download it to. (C)

To enter your initials.

New or restore? But it won't recognize N.

Now what?

Terri

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. It's countdown time at the schools and I have been very busy.

No idea why there is a one-way path south-east from the entrance back to the path, when it's only one more step to go south-west, then east to also get there. Going north-west from the entrance ...

Yes, I was able to do that.

But even if you "have" him, you still need to find the helicopter to get the ID.

I think he needs to be "taken" later.

PS Thanks for the help

A solution is found in the Tipshop.

Go to WOS text adventures, click on the "A" files, find the games, click on it and you will find a link to the Tipshop solution.

Alternatively, go to

Well, it looks like the Spectrum version is bugged as I cannot get the watering can. I'll try a few other verbs but I think I tried them all before.

I am just into this game. I am stuck at the ice rink and at the drain.

Participants would be welcome.

Yes, it's a Spectrum game.

OK I have examined every place I can go.

I see all these witnesses and objects, but I can't take them or read them or understand them.

Whenever I see a face, I try to interrogate them, but then the game freezes.

I have run across the radio messages, but don't know how you figured out they are in ...

Goodness - what a game. Each boat level needs to be mapped? And all those empty sapces? And people you cannot talk to? Yipes.

This may have to wait a while, as a map out each level.

Thanks Alastair,

Yes I have those files. Do I need to open them, because I can't.

So I will try the square brackets (which in this keyboard are also two positions of the P key).

Also found the hmtl files. Will the .toc. file tell me how to go n/s?

I can go left and right now, but not up and down, or north and south. I've run into a couple of characters, but cannot talk to them yet. I've also come across a letter, but can't do anything with it.

I have tried various ways, but how does one represent an asterisk (*)?

How does one enter a ...
