OK - I got out with the ruby. Fill the lamp and drop the empty bottle, the key. Tie the twine to the rope and the rope to the basket. Put what you can into the basket. With only the twine, climb the slope. It's dark, but pull the twine, then the rope - you get the message - here comes the basket ...

I think SWIM is the same as GO POOL.

I am thinking that at the scree, sometimes you get the message when you leave about something rumbling? So you think that is necessary to hear?
So that something else happens?

Yes, of course. SAVE and RESTORE is marvellous.

In some games killing opponents gets you more points. However, in this game, I don't know.

Anyway, I have gotten to the Ruby room. Like you I have tried many combinations. You can put the lamp in the basket (lit or unlit - with the expected ...

I had played this game years ago, and was able to find my map and notes.

Regarding the DRAGON and SERPENT devices, you don't really need them, but I suppose it lessens the chances of one being killed.

The random elements are frustrating. Not to mention the need to fight all those monsters. The ...

Sometimes it can be helpful to check out Google groups, esp. rec.games. int-fiction and do a search there. Or maybe there is a forum on this particular platform/computer. Some of the posts go back a long way.

moonshards of sacrimore

I have returned to this game (available at WOS) after several years. It is a very long game, with many locations, chance and pre-programmed elements. Some things appear to need to be done in order or at least you need some spells in order to do other things.

Anyone interested in playing along?

I ...

I found the game. It is very very short, not really a game. Take the can, and do what Popeye did. Uses the verb which means "crush; apply strong pressure."

help with playing a 3-part game

A plea for help.

I am trying to play Magnetic Moon. It's a three-part game. I had finished part 1, and managed to load it into part 2. I finished part 2, but cannot load it in part 3. I play on Spectaculator, but have also tried to save/load it with another emulator and cannot get a file bigger ...

Hint: the vines.

When you get to section four, I found out that one cannot waste time, so that putting all the objects in the robbers' roost, may not be a good idea. If they're stolen from you, that's likely where you will find them.

Now that you are in section 4...

I have put all the objects I found in the robber's roost and put them there, though this may not have been the best thing to do, because it eventually tells you ttat you are hungry and then there are only a limited number of moves to make after that.

I have not ...

Now that you brilliant guys have manged to pull this off, may I suggest that you send the fixed game to Jacob. He may wish to create a new section with some debugged games.
