Well, I am not quite done. Seems like a need a copper key to open the temple door in the desert.

I have the iron bar. Where is it used?

Yup, I missed the orb too, first go round.

I'll let you know how I progress.

A suggestion for those who wish to play: Gather all the objects you can (max 5) in order to map. It's easy to think you are in the same location you visited before, but you are not. As I had mentioned, mapping is tedious.

You can also look at the .dsk file using OPEN - WORDPAD. It allows you to see ...

Time Traveller 2

Couldn't find Time Machine so decided to play this with Doreen.

Yo, complex (and tedious mapping). But now that I have a few objects... At least the puzzles are logical.

Need to find the desert, but so far, a touch slow, but workable. Better than the past few games.

Missed Jacob's update. So Fish ...

About the dustbin lid - yup, I had tried that without it.

OK I'll amend the solution to GETing and DROPping. Maybe. My scratch notes are already in the recycling bag.

Not a very satisfying game.

Doreen, somewhere in the game there was a hint that said something like "type when at the end". So TYPE WHEN in the sleek room with the computer.

I kept unscrewing the panel until I got 99% (lots more than 10 fish altogether. You didn't even need to get to the attic. Or for that matter many of the ...

Is the screwdriver necessary?

I thought I had tried everything in the storeroom.

I've found a use for the ring, the batteries and the mouse.

Can you give a hint about where to use the ring?

And the attic, unless it's logical from after you use the ring?

The batteries, I presume are for a torch to go into the fireplace.

The mouse and the cat would be for the very end when ...

Well, I've caught up with you, but am no further ahead.

All I can think of is to use the dustbin lid as a shield and the poker as a sword. But there is no one to fight with as yet.

Yes, there are several doors that seem to need keys.

I tried at the manager's door to use the poker (the sign says ...

I'm sure I tried that with the vase, though I may not have used "EMPTY". What's a vase of flowers doing with no water?

I haven't run across any mouse yet.

And how did you put out the fire?

Something about these illogical games...

How did you put out the fire? I tried filling the pots with water at the sink, but can't do that.

What did you do at the beehive?

Have you determined what the dustbin lid is for and what the cat is for?

Thanks, Alastair - nice to know all this. Yes numbers can be obtained on the Internet, though I haven't used this, let alone tried this for international numbers. Though I have used it for postal codes (though it's much easier to look through the postal code book at work).

I'm a stingy old soul ...

Your Astral game was the same as mine. Pity.

Anyway, am playing the fish game. I too have done in 4 fish, though I don't know whether they're the same 4 as you.

Questions:

1. the beehive. Once you are in the house, you can't seem to get back out. Is that part for later?

2. I fed the cat. What ...

So it seems that I cannot play this game. Something is wrong here.

I am willing to abandon this, since I cannot play it.

Onward and upward (as they say).

Thanks for your help, regardless.
