I found the XF25 file. The files in there do not all correspond to what it is that Juan has. I don't know what to do now.

As expected, I am having problems.

I downloaded the emulator recommendeed.

Razors had written something about XF25 to copy into the files. The help file suggested something like that too. What is this and where do I find it?

OK I'll try. But if there are problems with the emulator, like Razors had, I won't. I tried playing Apple games in the past, and if I recall, stuff didn't work right.

city of shadows

An Amstrad game - found on nvg [but also on a compliation disk I got from someone (Doreen, maybe)].

This is a more recent game (1992). It has lots of descriptions about colour, and vocabulary where I needed to look up the word in a dictionary.

Any takers?

I am still exploring, not yet really ...

Duh - sorry. I should have looked (and remembered).

Has anyone written this up?

time

I am playing time (timemt - an Amstrad game). It is relatively straightforward as to puzzles, and a bit tedious having to retrace steps.

I thought I was close to finishing (having entered the castle), but am stuck. I have managed to find what the rabbit threw in the nettles, but don't know how to ...

Once you take the chest, you cannot open it. So I went back, opened it and finished.

Sure, I can write this up.

That doesn't work for me.

Were you holding something in particular? Since it is soiled, does it need to be cleaned first?

I think I have tried every object I have with the guard.

What is the verb here? And what do you give the guard?

I've made a little more progress.

Sorry - I missed the sw exit to the castle.

The small key doesn't unlock the chest. Is this openable?

Do you meaning the painting in the castle? What picture?

Is the castle behind the locked door?

And how do I open the door?

OK - a touch more progress.

I know where the shoes are good for. And what the pot is for. And who to do a favour to and how to do it.

You can wear the shoes and the pot at the same time, but the order you put them on is important.

Is the bed good for anything? I can't seem to sleep on it.

What ...

Wearing one thing at a time???

Yes I put the pot on my head, but the shoes go on feet, no? What has one thing to do with another?

OK, I'll see how I make out with the bucket and the shoes. A few more of these highly irrelevant and nonsensical moves, and I may move on to another game.

Interesting that you managed to finish by using the sword on the dragon. When I tried that, even though I was "healed" by the wizard and got the parchment, I didn't really get the curse taken off because I died a few moves after (before even getting to the warm and cozy cave).

Not quite sure why ...
