No to both of your questions.

Looks like you are going to have to help ME out, like maybe the order you took the keys in? or what locations you were in, in the order you got to them?

fallout

An Amstrad game. Written in GAC - hint, hint to Dave.

Seems relatively straightforward, until you get to the manhole in the hut.

Now what? Can't seem to go down it.

Thanks, Alastair, I'll see if I can do this.

Yes, it is a bizarre game.

To get to the wizard, I got the book from the library (before I even met the wizard), swam into the reservoir, used the magic word after I pulled the lever, which took me to outside the shrine building, and then went north ...

When I say "read the listings", I mean opening up the .dsk file in Wordpad. Nothing fancier or more esoteric than that!

Anyway this is some bizarre game. I tried playing it again from the beginning and doing things in a different order (once you have the magic word). What worked the first time ...

Hey folks out there.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could make some progress in this game, so that when Doreen comes back from her holiday, we can say we have helped and made some progress?

I have made a bit more progress, but this game seems to depend on the "sequence" you do things.

"Reading" the ...

This is the last of Barrie Eaton's games, that Doreen is yet to finish.

Available at nvg.

Have a good time on your holidays, Doreen. We will miss you.
Though the forum may settle down a touch, and I can get back to reading a book :)

Anyway, I am playing this. It does not appear to be as easy (i ...

Yes - I did read your other post.

I found the password "legally" :D , once I found the correct verb.

Your hint in the fissure helped!!!

I have finished this game. Like Doreen said, these are nice games, eminently playable. You have to "slog" through the text to figure out what to do, but my hints should help.

I look forward, Doreen, to other games by Barrie.

Nice games. Once you play one, the others are more playable since they ...

moonbase 3

Another Barrie Eaton Amstrad game.

Have you played this one, Doreen?

Similar as the others in the choice of verbs and the need to use objects again and again.

I am stuck at the top of the stairs with a rope and a door that sticks.

Any help anyone?

The pool pf water is around the monument area. You examined the dust, right? What else could you do in a "dirty" place? Use the same verb you used in the fissure. You will see a word. Say <the> and that will open up another location for you, i.e. to the pool.

Yahoo, Doreen

Re: the lava pit.

You need to toss something into it. Have you found something that is "cold to the touch"? Hints - south of the pool of water.

Re: pool of water. You need to enter it before you freeze it. To warm it up, do you have something that you can wave? This object changes ...

I've answered my own questions and finished the game.

So will the rest of you, and I hope you manage to play Doreen.

I'll write this up.

I suppose you mean typing something other than a direction.

OK I will send you another snapshot.

The place where "you can go nowhere."

I was there, but didn't know what to do?

What do I do there?

I noticed I had 2 gold pieces. But doesn't one need 1 to go past the troll. Does it cost 2 to buy Magiczap?

I really don't like these guessing game.
