When you refer to the stone, do you mean the stone or the rock; the stone is in the palace and the rock is at the top of the mountain? The basic difference is that the rock moves.

I mean the stone in the palace. I can't see how you can't get it, cuz there's nothing to do after this.

Is it ...

I'm glad Doreen, that you didn't mind that we played without you. Somehow I didn't think we would solve it before you came back.

Maybe a slip of someone's finger, Alastair, to type 1, instead of 0 (though they are on different sides of the row (unless you are using a numberpad).

Could have been a ...

Thanks, I'll see how far I can get.

I should have mentioned that I got 8 and 2 also. I though I had typed that.

Having played from the beginning, I am no further ahead. I only have 7 keys, (4, 5, 11, 7, 3, 8) and of course the 10th which I cannot get.

Typing the magic word gets me nowhere I haven't been to, and I eventually get back into the airtight room where I drown.

Any hints about where to get the ...

Tyopng in the magic word gives so many options in certain venues. I am no farther ahead than I was before. Apparently when you use the hexagon object, you do not automatcally drop it.

Seems to me that with all these random elements, the authors may have sometimes boxed themselves into a corner ...

Games like this is why most adventurers are bald - they pull their hair out.

No, unfortunately I cannot pick it up. Regardless of the objects I haved dropped.

So, this tells me I have neglected to do something important.

I have tried to drop the "bird" food where there are no birds. Nothing.

Since this game is so step-by-step (apparently logically written) I think I am ...

I have been starting from the begining. I've been thinking. While this game is tricky, and it has its random elements, there appears to be some logic to this. For example, at the beginning (once I havefound it, of course, and a few objects), I've used the magic word, and all it gets me is to go to a ...

Yup, I do post a lot. And I can be dogged and persistent. But I think I lack "je ne quoi ca" - that bit of something, related to creativity, I think. That's s OK - that's why this forum exists.

I think our best collaborative effort was in the game whose name I can't remember (what does this tell ...

I haven't found the ancient building with the locked steel door. At least not from my map.

Can you tell me the vicinity of where it is?

At the cables, I was carrying (lots of red herrings I think):
ultrasonic device, antigravity device, rope, pentagon, motionless android, key 11, key 4, robot, box ...

Yes I saw the shelf. It is spelled BOOK SHELF. To examine it, you need to use BOOKSHELF - one word, not two.

Aaah we should know this. Of course, it's logical. Aaargh.

Anyway, thank you for that.

What to do at the stone? It tells me I am carrying too much. I can drop everything but the gas mask ...

I am playing Hades by Phillip Ramsay.

Amstrad game written in GAC (so that leaves me out). Let's not crack it just yet, guys, cuz it's enjoyable, and I'd like solmeone else to enjoy it with me.

Nice game. All to do with Greek mythology.

It's important to examine every location.

One nice feature ...

Ahhhh - that I can help with. Yes I've tried all kinds of verbs. Nada.

At the animal enclosure, go north, then south, then east, and all the way south.

Have you found the gem? I haven't.

Also playing another game (see new post).
