I managed to finish the game with the help of the hints. I don't think I could have done so without them. They are pretty complete, and other than WAIT not being recognized as a verb, it does make time pass. So I'm not sure it really warrants a walkthrough.

How are you making out without resorting ...

I'm wondering, Jacob, speaking about your new site, whether it would be possible to create links to hints not posted in your site but available elsewhere. Like for example, Amby's finding hints to Ark of the Lost Covenant, and Alastair finding hints to Elysian Fields. Or whether the permissions ...

Thanks for finding the hints, Amby. I'll see how I get on with help. At this point I can't find the pistol.

Lost Ark of the Covenant (apple)

Among my current frustrations... this game...

Not among great ambience games. Limited parser (ar at least when combined with certain nouns). Has a maze, so Amby, be prepared.

I am stuck.

I have mapped the tunnel, I believe reasonably well, no probably not, as I thought I had something before. I ...

I will leave the horror stuff to you folks out there who are engaged in this genre. My first experience with gaming was when I bought my first computer (yes, I was late with that, like most other things), and I bought an Infocom package which included many titles. It came with an 1-inch thick hint ...

Thanks for joining in Alastair. Much appreciated. I managed to get a hold of the author who said he would replay his own game from many years ago He was quite happy that people were playing it. So we will wait and see if his memory from many years ago is accessible (mine certainly isn't). I will ...

Among my unfinished games is House on Damned Hill - a Spectrum 128 game. It's more of a type of arcade game, with having to kill monsters, despite needing to enter text. I didn't get very far into it. It also appears to have a limited number of moves.

Small Plank

I don't recall finding a plank. The black hole, I suppose, is the timber.

Maybe the game is not really finishable?

You could try Opera House (scroll down til you find it) where we were, and still are, I believe stuck in.

The camera is in the room north of the staircase landing.

To get there, examine the room descriptions. The door seems life-like, so OPEN it.

That is about the only error in the walkthrough, which considering the length of the game, is, I suppose, since you need the camera that is there, it's more ...

The snail mail letter to MN in NH is off tomorrow in the post. I thought a phone call would maybe be too intrusive.

I followed your suggestion in the palace. This is an entirely new message which I have not received before. While it does not really say anything new, it does do one thing - the dove ...

Nothing from Mark.

Now I did this through Skopes, which I have never used before. I tried looking up his place of employment but there are no contact names there.

Further looking, got me an address. So maybe I will write to him (regular letter).

How did you "read the ceiling" in the palace? Which room?
