Re: Inner Demons

Yes, I did the scorkscrew bit too. It brought on a hallucination, but it brought me back to the basement. I didn't kill any demons there. Hint: the empty bottle is needed. Another hint: where the shelves are.

I also got the rag, and like, you cannot clean the windows. The bug here is that it is not ...

Re: [AMIGA] Dark Obsession - How to get in the restaurant?

After you examine the ashtray and the cigar (the latter is absolutely necessary), go E, E, E, E, N, DOWN, DOWN, DOWN, DOWN. At this point you are either in the lobby or the ground floor. It may be where the chair is (I don't have a map), then go north (to a dark alley) then, (I believe), E, E, E, S ...

Inner Demons

Hi folks,

Now that some of us have finished Dark Obsession, I decided to try another of Michael Xerbo's games. I see there is a solution to Severed Heads, so I thought I'd try Inner Demons. It's also an amiga games, available at WoS under games/amiga.

Also, grisly, and graphic so be forewarned ...

Re: [AMIGA] Dark Obsession - How to get in the restaurant?

At the elevator, you need the rope, the handcuffs and the scarf. The rope is at the pile of dirt. I didn't think I saw it before, but it is there. Don't know how I missed it.

I won't send the solution to Jacob until you finish, in case you get more points than I. I got 225/250, so I have missed ...

Re: [AMIGA] Dark Obsession - How to get in the restaurant?

OK. I've finished the game with Michael's help. I've written up a solution, though that isn't as simple as it sounds, because I forgot to do one tiny little thing and it took me some time to replay.

I've not got the full score possible, and don't really know what else I need to do.

Anyway ...

Re: [AMIGA] Dark Obsession - How to get in the restaurant?

Thanks you, author, for the hints about the photo.

I have made some progress, though not sure it is correct. I meet Julia and Stan. I get away. I'm now at the elevator with a dead Stan and an unconscious Julia, gagged and "tied" to the fixtures. What to do now, since you can't go anywhere ...

Re: [AMIGA] Dark Obsession - How to get in the restaurant?

I haven't found a photo of the boyfriend and his car.
Can you give a hint where it is?

Re: Quest for the Power Rod

No, I had the same number of objects as you (that one object at the bottom of the rockpool can't be picked up, it's just a red herring; so are the snips.)
I suppose the snips are unnecessary, given that there is nothing in the locations where you can cut the wire. If there are only two red ...

Re: Quest for the Power Rod

Congratulations! I'm done too. So you managed the weeping willow too?

Thanks for getting me out of the maze. Out of curiosity how many objects did you have to map it? I had 8. Did you have more? Or are you just a better mapper?

If you wish, once you write the solution, I can proof it.

Re: Quest for the Power Rod

Thanks for getting me through the maze, though I have no idea how to get to the black tower. While you cannot get the shiny object, if you dig around this area you will get another object which you need (it's the ring!). Plus there is another object there, which may help you get past the Lord.

Get ...

Re: Quest for the Power Rod

How does the part with the barbed wire work? I try to cut them but it seems I just end up in the middle of it with no exit in sight.

While the location descriptions are identical, they are not really. I'm not sure you need to go in any specific direction. I believe I just CUT WIRE several times ...

Re: Quest for the Power Rod

I've returned to this game after a 2+ year hiatus. But I am no further ahead. It is a difficult maze. It's a GAC game. I believe I am to "move bushes" at location 39. But there are no bushes here, just undergrowth, which doesn't work. So maybe the author wrote an incorrect noun?

Any help would be ...

This is quite the good game. Spectrum, available on WOS. Written by Quill. Jacob has hints plus so does the Tipshop.

You have to read and remember all the stuff you are told. Anyway, I think I have finished part 1 with all the necessary objects (esp the newspaper - being the non-detail person that ...
