Re: Opera House and QA for the Atari 400/800

It would be great if we could finish this game, but I, for one:
a) may not be able to read my handwritten notes;
b) cannot remember what I meant by them;
c) can only remember the ambience, the communal effort and camaraderie, AND the frustrations with all our efforts;
d) all of the above.

So-o-o, I ...

Re: The Brew - C64

Go to File, then to Attach disk image, then to Drive 8, click, a window will appear where you can select disk images, select the second disk image (BREW1.D64 if you are playing with the copy found at Gamebase64), press Attach.

Yes, I got the game from the site Juan had found it.

I think I looked ...

Re: The Brew - C64

Congratulations, fellows.

But I need some more help, and hope you can continue to offer it.

I am at the summit with the egg. I get a message that says TURN DISK.

How do I do that? I am playing on WinVice (can't remember which version). Reset doesn't work. The other disk is in German, I think.

Re: The Brew - C64

Seems I need to let Peggy go somewhere so she will get the truffle. It says she will dig in the soil, so I have tried various locations in the forest and waited, but so far nothing. Haven't yet tried up the mountain. Which I will do.

Is there soil somewhere else?

Not to mention that I have not yet ...

Re: The Brew - C64

Thanks fellows, I'll see how far I get.

When I mentioned that I thought this was for kids, it's because when you start, they ask you if you are a boy or a girl. While this may be a translation error, the rest of the narrative is pretty good.

No one mentioned where to find the pig, so I hope that ...

Re: The Brew - C64

I am sure I examined the wood-piles. Maybe it's the dash in between the words. But what does that get me? What are the discs for?

I figured I would get coins elsewhere. But that still does not get me past the guards.

Re: The Brew - C64

OK - I got the sugar and dealt with the horse.

But that's it.

Have to get past the guards, don't know what to do at many places. Haven't got the disks.

I presume one needs money to get new trousers and shoes.

Looks like I am stuck.

Would appreciate some help, please and thank you.

Re: Generalissimo Taker

Did you check out your coat? Sometimes you need more than two words. In this case three words to check out your coat, and four words to open the door.

Re: The Brew - C64

What about the oak leaf? What about the wood disks? All are easily found in the forest.

Yes, I got the oak leaf, but not the wood disks. And they are where?

The eagle can be killed with the spear.

Which you make with the knife and the trunk?

You need to have "Peggy" (a pig) with you in ...

Re: The Brew - C64

I've joined you in playing, but I have not gotten as far as you. I gave the coin to the man (with the hat there). I saw the witch and heard the spell. I have the trunk, limestone, cards, cross, resin and knife. I can make my way up the mountain to see the egg. But need to deal with the eagle. Maybe ...

Generalissimo Taker

A Spectrum game. Has random elements in it. Grammar and spelling are poor, but that may be an ESL (English as a Second Language) problem. There appear to be some glitches, or there is more than one way to finish the game.

I seem to be caught in endless loops. And stuck points.

1. On the train - if ...

Re: Deliverer 1

I have (first draft) written a solution and hints, in a better order.

There are likely to be mistakes.

I was going to send them to you for editing and revision, after I redid it again, but you can look at it now.

I'll send it to you.
