the rubber pipe
the leaflet
the hooded white robe
Are those the objects beyond the brushwood?
A few hints please.

Re: aftermath Spectrum Computing 1985
I visited the train station but had no idea how to get a train.
However, I do need to get past the brushwood first.

aftermath Spectrum Computing 1985
I am trying to play this game, but am stuck at the tangled brushwood. I presume I need some matches, but cannot find any. Can someone join in and maybe let me know where they are?
Thanks in advance.

Re: CASA slowness
Point well taken. Though US and CAN time zones, I believe, are the same. However given their significantly larger population, you may be correct.

Re: CASA slowness
I have no experience in specific CASA slowness, but I agree with Alastair (I think).
The best time for me to access CASA (wrt speed of connection) is between 5pm (my local time) and about 8 pm. After that, and before that, it is far slower. So, given that the Western Hemisphere is 5-6 hours (behind ...

Re: Quest for the Holy Something
It can be tedious to write a solution, play the game again, fix your mistakes, and double check yet again. Then it gets boring to keep re-doing and re-doing. When a game has random elements it is even worse.
But the attention to that kind of detail (with no great thought needed after you have ...

Re: Quest for the Holy Something
I have played this game, and have written a solution and hints (though they tend to be outright and not so cryptic).
I thought I had sent it to Jacob, but then, maybe I hadn't. Or it got lost in cyberspace.
So I will send them off now.

I will reply publicly later if the pm isn't clear. Though rather not let the whole world know, though it probably does. When people, for example, post a list of verbs, they got them from somewhere...

Anything further on this? Did getting off the train work?

Re: Generalissimo Taker
Reasonable suggestion Dave, but why would this location be any different than the others? It also assumes that you can get off the train immediately before it leaves, and you can get back on the same train. And the coat will still be there? Any other location we have tried to drop the coat, it ...

Re: Generalissimo Taker
Yes, I am there as well. And also don't know what to do.
I presume one needs a password of some kind. In order to get that, I think one needs to go to the cell. And not lose the coat. You need the coat to get on the train, and you need to carry three objects with you, and for that you need the coat ...

Re: Generalissimo Taker
I am going around in circles. Need some help in getting to the cell and not lose my coat (and objects) in the process. Do I need to tell Andy to leave here, or elsewhere, and he will eventually get me out of the cell? I thought that by giving him the burnt note, it would get me arrested and put in ...

Re: Inca - Apple II & PC
Thanks for your help with DOSBox, Alastair. I've printed everyone's instructions out, and I'm sure a time will come when they will be needed. I'm still struggling with Generalissimo. So once the solution is posted I will (maybe) try it out.

Re: Generalissimo Taker
Thought I was almost done, but no. Have to go back and redo things so I can keep the coat (to get on the train). Seems I have to give something to Andy, find myself in the cell, and not impaled and the coat does not disappear. At least that is what I can figure out.

Re: Generalissimo Taker
I'm stuck again. While I can unlock the north door beyond the receptionist, I cannot open it.
Did you manage, and if so how?
