Re: annabel gray - BBC game

Yes, I did get the horse. But don't know how to give it to Tom.

I'll check past the gap.

Re: Sort of old-ish new member, or new-ish old member

Thanks Alastair. It was a bit convoluted to find. I eventually did find it, but probably couldn't do it again. I believe I may have saved that web page, specifically. At least I hope I did. Just checked - yes I did. Now, if someone could tell me how to sort all my favourites into alphabetical order ...

annabel gray - BBC game

This is a two-part game, available somewhere (maybe Stairway to Hell?). The descriptions are rather good, or at least I see Gone with the Wind as a backdrop in my mind. Part 1 does not seem too complicated, given that I finished it. But I am stuck in Part 2.

So I'll wait until someone joins in ...

Re: aftermath Spectrum Computing 1985

The game will also accept "inv".

Speaking for myself, I am neither a walking thesaurus or a genius.

I will send you a pm to tell you what I sometimes do. Assuming you've allowed this feature.

I often write hints, and I can do that for this game. But beware. My hints are sometimes quite specific ...

Re: Sort of old-ish new member, or new-ish old member

Welcome back, Pippa.

Don't worry about the tech stuff. The only emulator I can use with reasonable success is the Spectrum. The others I play so rarely, I forget how.

Anyway, Mark and I can help you with Aftermath, if you wish (and until he writes the solution). A reasonably well-written game ...

Re: aftermath Spectrum Computing 1985

OK. I am done. Thanks for your help.

I'd be please to "run through" your solution.

Get ready for another game. If you'd like.

Re: aftermath Spectrum Computing 1985

Thanks Juan,

This is not just a tough puzzle. How in blazes are you supposed to know what to do?

Good that you finished.

Anyway, in the train. Now what do I do?

Re: aftermath Spectrum Computing 1985

Can you be a bit more specific where the master key is? I've looked in all four locations (once you are in the chamber) and am still stuck.

Re: aftermath Spectrum Computing 1985

OK - got the matches. Thanks. Used a match. Have you figured out what to do at the well? I won't give a hint unless you ask. Then, type HELP at the lorry. Remember to use the British word, not the American one there.

So, now on the train.

This is a problem. WAIT does not seem to be a verb you can ...

Re: aftermath Spectrum Computing 1985

Well, the rock worked even with the wire.

No I have not managed to turn off the torch. Dropping it doesn't work. OK, now I'm off to see what is behind the brushwood.

Chat again soon.

Re: aftermath Spectrum Computing 1985

I think I have tried everything I could think of using the rock at the store. But since I tied it to the wire, maybe that's why things don't work.

Glad you got into the duct.

So, the matches...are...where?

Re: aftermath Spectrum Computing 1985

I've managed to get the robe and get what is there.

But still can't get into the store.

Nor get the train to move.

So, maybe some help about how to get into the store?

Have you been able to get past the locked steel door?

Re: aftermath Spectrum Computing 1985

I think that may be needed elswhere.

Unbolting the door? OK. I hope I have a tool for this.
