Re: Adventure Challenge

I hope everyone had an excellent Christmas, but before anyone thinks they can take a well earned rest I've decided that I'm not going to wait until the New Year before posting the next puzzle. Enjoy, or not as the case may be...

Same problem here, except I also have to come up with a game and some clues. So if you people don't mind, it may be a couple of days or so before the next contest is posted.

Alex wrote:Alastair, good thinking :thumb: maybe the next clue will help :
No it doesn't! I got to thinking that it was a soap bubble and the spaceship was landing thus giving "Soap Land", but this new clue leaves me floundering (yet again).

Re: Adventure Challenge

The only game with bubble in the title is 'Bubble Bobble - The Adventure' but I don't see how the flying saucer applies to that name.

To be pedantic, a hundred anything is a ton. E.g., doing a ton on the motorway (not that I would ever dream of exceeding the speed limit - just in case GCHQ is listening  ).

Re: Adventure Challenge

The Clue 1 is actually a little rebus: each picture should suggest one (and only one) word, and if you combine these two words (or rather the sound of these words), you should get a new word which is the solution.

After the original clue I thought it might be Animal Land Murder Case , now I'm ...

Re: Searching for Adventure Game

I do not recognise any game from the description but the use of the term 'black light' does suggest that it is an American game, though I realise that this is probably of little help.

The best I can do is suggest the site's Advanced search facility. Although this does not offer a country of origin ...

Re: To Preserve Quandic Trs80-coco

Thanks Alex. The Dragon Archive download was one of the copies I was thinking of, the other is contained within a file called 'Briza's Collection' which is a 800+ MB zip file! In the unlikely event that you do not want to download such a large file I have uploaded the relevant disk images below. I ...

Alex, it would be helpful if you could tell us where you downloaded your copy. Then at least I could file compare the non-working copy with a couple of images I have managed to find.

Note that although the set-up download for Giant Killer is a Windows executable, the game itself is a DOS program.
