At the dwarf, I've saved and restored so many times, it is getting more than tedious. I can't seem to kill him.
I've tried with carrying the sword, as well as the gun and the knife.
This bit is done in machine code on the spectrum; but on the BBC version it's in BASIC! So it looks like you have ...

Right; I've played through the adventure now and I'm pretty sure it was never finished and you can't win. I'm basically at the stone in the palace with nothing to do there.
Looking through the code for the adventure, I thought there may be a bug in my dictionary reader where I'm not decoding some ...

Re: thor
I have the utility 'unpaw' but it requires a .sna save. I did try saving a .sna but the spectaculator told me that it couldn't support it under 128 only a pentagon... I got confused so gave up on that.

Re: hero
I tried playing it, but to be honest, I got bored quite quickly (don't know why, it's just not grabbing me).Doreen B wrote:I wonder if you can sort anything out with it?
It is a GAC game so I can decode and answer any direct questions (I'll try and obfuscate the answers though).

Re: Game over!
I didn't really do much - I'd barely started when you guys pulled so far ahead! I'd be interested to see the solution though...Juan wrote:I will write a walkthrough for the game and send it to Jacob. I will credit all participants: Doreen B, Terri and Dave.
