Having seen the discussion on the Brew, with a reference here, I've taken a look: both the Atari and C64 games are in basic (though you have to get the C64 version from a memory dump). So it may be possible to see whether there's any bugs in the games.
The problem here is that I haven't played the ...

Re: Suds Help
To get the rail card you need to do:
INSERT COIN, GET PHOTO. Head W, W and BUY RAILCARD (5 points), GET RAILCARD.
When you're in the photo booth in the college.
To get past the guard, you just need to go W, no extra commands are needed. You do need to be carrying the railcard and the ticket (from ...

Re: Suds Help
If you go to the agriculture college, where there's a phone booth and an office, you can get your photo taken in the booth, and buy the railcard from the office, you'll need the money from the cabinet though!
Re: Suds Help
I've completed all fur parts now, I'm a bit unhappy at the last two, they're a bit easy, it's almost as if the author got bored and ran out of ideas. A solution will be forthcoming as soon as I can around to writing one.
Re: Suds Help
You're almost there with the gate. You need to consume something that people like to drink a lot of, in a place where lots of aforementioned item is drunk.
Once you get there you need a way to get out, this is rather lateral, but has a fishy solution, once it is smoked.

I've completed parts 2 and 3 now, these are a lot easier (3 has no mazes)! Onto part 4!
Re: Suds Help
The score is given as your TV rating. Some things you don't need to do to complete the adventure (e.g. placate the pig) but you get score for them.
I never found a use for several objects: chewing gum, red rag, pork scratchings. (I know the last two cause problems with the bull and pig so I just ...

Re: Suds Help
To get into the chewing gum plant you need to be carrying the worm from the cesspit (it's a wriggling worm, hence Wrigley's Gum). You can just go N from where the guard is.
Edit: I've manage to complete Part 1, though I could only get a score of 96 (out of 100), so I must have missed something.

Re: Suds Help
I'm sort of playing it through, I can only answer one of your questions for now:
The peg can be found in the barn, you need to make sure the bucket is there and then KICK BUCKET.

Re: CASA News RSS feed?
Great minds think alike, I was musing this just last night.
We could do with at least two feeds: one for the forum (there's standard modules for this) and one for the main site. The other choice is Atom vs RSS (most browsers support both).

BASIC detokenisers
I have a selection of the above, sat on my hard disk that I hacked together very quickly to help me erm... fix games. Is anybody interested in having a copy, as I wouldn't want them to just disappear next time I have a hard disk crash?

Erm, that was me - it was partially so that I could see what the review page would look like in its final form and whether I needed to make any changes to it...

Re: Synopsis - what to aim for?
yes I know we need to increase the size of the text box in the add/edit game screen!
Why? The text size follows the user's browser settings. Isn't that ideal for everybody, because everybody gets what he wants?

Point taken, I was just trying to explain why the synopses differ so much!
While we're at it (and as most of the site admins will probably read this thread). The formatting on text entries can sometimes go a bit awry, to clarify what the code does may lead to a bit most consistency.
