Re: Another Classic Ported to TRS-80 MC-10
Those addresses hold the READ/DATA pointer. The original program made heavy use of the BBC's RESTORE line-number command, but that doesn't seem to work on the MC-10, so I had to use an ugly kludge to get round it. Interesting! The only BASIC I really know is BBC BASIC, so I didn't realise that othe...

And here's a direct link to the document on the Internet Archive, so you don't have to go through Twitter's URL-shortening service (t.co)!:

Re: Another Classic Ported to TRS-80 MC-10
Funny about the improperly exited FOR/NEXT loops. MS Basic is tolerant of such. But I still often do something like the following with them: 455 IF C2$<>"" THEN TMP=I:I=L:NEXTI:I=TMP:GOTO 490 Good tip, thanks! I believe BBC Basic is definitely younger than MS Basic. MS Basic dates to at least 1977 ...

The long and increasingly tedious saga of Xanadu Adventure continues: it turns out that two different versions of the game were released. More details here:

Re: third xanadu game
ahahaha - I have found where the money was.... it was the other side of the trolll.... that means I should buy the postcards at the beginning in case the money is on the other side of the bridge...... Wow! I've never seen that before! That's really unfair! For me, the money was always on the wester...

Re: third xanadu game
Do I definitly need the money to buy the postcards to throw at the troll? Or can I throw something else at the troll? You definitely do need to throw the postcards at the troll. You can't throw anything else at the troll. (Well, you can, but it won't work! Or, to be more precise, I think you can th...

Re: third xanadu game
I got stuck looking for the Money..... without the Money I don't think I can get past the troll. Is the location of the Money completely random? (I mean I need the Money to buy the postcards) If I remember correctly, the location of the money is randomised, yes. But I seem to recall it's usually so...

Re: Games everybody should know
Out of curiosity, does anyone know what sort of language Graham Nelson's two Galaxy's Edge games were written in? Was it more like Inform or TSAL? Or something else? (And how much is he embarrassed by that photo?) I wouldn't know... we should show it to him <g>. As for the language, certainly not I...
