Re: I'm surprised (and happy) that people still play these g
Hi Quantum I included the speech input and text-to-speech to try and cater for all types of people. Trouble is I don't how effective it is for blind people. I hope the game works well for you. Just try the demo first and let me know how you go. Feel free to offer feedback. I would love to port to iP...

Re: Time Traveller now released and existing games at half p
Hi Dave I checked it out and read through the C file. Haven't used C in years so I'm rusty. :) These days I program in .Net with C#. The problem with the 3 GAC games that my dad and I did is that we lost the source files. So to convert the Time Traveller I had to play it extensively trying all sort ...

Time Traveller now released and existing games at half price
Well I dropped the prices for my existing games down to half of their original cost. Maybe AUS$1.99 is asking too much. On Android Developer Market it seems the lowest I can go is AUS$0.99 so I have set them all for this price. This is for: * Moonbase 3 * Mystery of the Dark Manor * The Ice Guardian...

The Ice Guardian has now been ported to Android devices
A third game written by my father, Barrie Eaton, has now been released to Android devices. This was originally released in 1991 in the U.K. Like Moonbase 3 and Mystery of the Dark Manor, this uses the same engine to maintain a consistent user experience. The demo links here: https://market.android.c...

Mystery of the Dark Manor, 1992 Amstrad text adv, on Android
Hi all I just wanted to let people know that I have ported another one of my father's games, Mystery of the Dark Manor, to Android devices. This uses the same engine that was programmed for Moonbase 3 so should provide a consistent user experience. Mystery of the Dark Manor was originally released i...

I'm surprised (and happy) that people still play these games
Hi everyone, my first post here. My name is Mark Eaton and I was both surprised and happy to find that the text adventure games that I wrote some 25 years are still going. Even my dad's, Barrie Eaton, are still going on. My first published game was Castle Adventure when I was 13 in an Amstrad magazi...
