Re: Title and in game music in text adventures

Pimania had a "free hit single" [*] on the B side of the cassette. :D

[*] Also labelled "free appalling hypnotic disco theme music!"

Garry, I haven't seen any notifications. Please PM me the username of the new user and I'll see what I can do.

Re: Sunbmissions not being processed

Yes, there is still a problem with the authoring system ( viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1817 ). I don't know if the cause has been found, let alone any time scale in fixing the problem. Until then submissions can be made but only resources such as maps, solutions, hints, and screenshots can be added to an alr...

Tajemnica Carmen Strasse 35

This is one of two questions posed by Smartgenes, if anyone can clarify the matter then please do so below. I haven't tested it but Tajemnica Carmen Strasse 35 doesn't seem to be listed on CASA, but it is listed on World of Spectrum Classic https://worldofspectrum.net/archive/textadv/t/ although may...

T'was a Time of Dread - date issue

This is one of two questions posed by Smartgenes, if anyone (Strident?) can clarify the matter then please do so below. I noticed what looks like a mistake on CASA: T'was a Time of Dread (https://solutionarchive.com/game/id%2C561/T'was+a+Time+of+Dread.html) is listed as 1991, but the 2nd game of the...

Re: No longer receiving email notifications

I too have quite a few submissions which do not appear to be getting processed. Is there a problem with the administrators being notified of submissions? No, the problem relates to part of the database no longer working properly - see viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1817 . Until this is fixed only resources (s...

Re: Board quota for attachments has been reached

I've deleted my one "Adventure Challenge" attachment (so long my attempt at a 'most devious challenge' picture).

Mostly thanks to everyone else who has deleted attachments the size of posted attachments is currently down to 15.54 MiB.

Re: Board quota for attachments has been reached

I guess it should help if we remove the adventure challenge. This post has the most attachments and I guess nobody is reading it any longer. It would help but only if we can remove it without creating orphan attachments. (See https://www.phpbb.com/support/docs/en/3.1/ug/adminguide/attach_orphaned/ ...

Re: Board quota for attachments has been reached

Orphan attachments now stand at 53, up two from yesterday.

If anyone has deleted any attachments, or uploaded something but then decided against posting, within this period would you please check that the attachments have been removed.

Garry: the solution, map, fixed game, and screenshot for Magical Journey have been added to the site. (Re. the database issue, earlier this month I asked for an update and received the reply "As for now there is no obvious and easy fix".)

Re: Board quota for attachments has been reached

People can manage their own attachments by first clicking on their own name (upper right) and choosing "User Control Panel". This should show the overview of the user control panel, clicking on "Manage attachments" will then take you to the relevant page. iamaran, I see that your "Star Trek Adventur...

Re: Board quota for attachments has been reached

Under admin statistics I see that the current size of posted attachments is 20 MiB, this may be the limit for attachments. I also see that there are 51 orphan attachments, but I cannot work out how to list them, let alone delete them.

It seems like some pruning is required.

Re: "A Dark Sky over Paradise" - Help wanted!

Jim, angromable may well be aware of the solution. What I think he is asking is how do you discover that the password is circle. A quick perusal of Dorothy's solution shows no action where you discover the password, it could be that the password is contained within the documentation that came with t...
