Re: Submission error: Invalid input: return_address

The solution got through but the message "Invalid input: return_address" is a bug. I thought that it had been dealt with - see viewtopic.php?f=2&t=930 - but perhaps it never went away, that's one of the problems with intermittent errors. Thanks. That thread is from 2018! If the bug can't be fixed, ...

Re: Clicking link after unsuccessful search sometimes gives 403 error

It seems that the space should be encoded as a plus sign + and not as %20
Or of course that server "feature" could be turned off.

Submission error: Invalid input: return_address

Hi. I just submitted a text solution to Duncan Bowen Adventure . I put the text into the big text box and did not attach any file. The resulting screen said: " Invalid input: return_address. Content submission / correction. Your submission has been received. An administrator will take care of it as ...

Re: Error in solution - The Eunuch's Ball

Hey Strident, thanks. Pulling the book to go into the study is fine -- that's an early moment in the game. The problem is not having a book much later, to drop. So you're saying that X STUDY, LOOK will produce the goods... I think...? If so, then I will retry that, and thank you. Regarding doing the...

Error in solution - The Eunuch's Ball

Attempting the Spectrum version solution by Dorothy Millard, there is a library with some books, where we must do this: EXAMINE BOOKS (one sticks out), PULL BOOK (a hidden door opens and you go north into the study) We are not told to GET BOOK, but if you do try it, you can't ("that would be stealin...

Re: Solution problem? Mutiny (part 2)

Given up on this one. I got a lot further and then the dagger and revolver apparently weren't in the right place, and I couldn't get them and return through the sea since the stake was no longer available. I am not sure whether I made an error or whether the solution is in fact wrong somewhere. Too ...

Re: Solution problem? Mutiny (part 2)

Okay, I found the ruby by going to that location and SEARCHing DEBRIS. I then went back to the location where I should THROW RUBY, and did so. It works, saying "good shot": the ruby has landed on the promenade. Now I try to continue the solution from THROW RUBY, as follows: "W, W, S, E, DROP REVOLVE...

Re: Possible problem - Loose Ends

Thanks. There is indeed a game bug where it explicitly tells you that Hardy is not present, yet you can interact with him. Both parts now successfully solved.

Re: Possible solution problem - Theme Park UK

Thanks. I got this one done in the end (it was a real chore with all that INSERT TOKEN, and various objects breaking if you drop them etc.)!

Sorted, thanks. I managed to miss it while scrolling because two adjacent paragraphs in the solution began with the same inputs.

Possible problem - Loose Ends

Trying to do Loose Ends (Spectrum) and part 1 solution is not working around this point: N, E, GIVE HELM (Goliath leaves), S (charwoman leaves), N, EXAMINE SEATS, TAKE TOMATO, N, TAKE BOOK First of all the second N seems wrong, since the seats and tomato are in the southern room, not the northern on...

Solution problem - The Twelve Days of Christmas

Hi. In "The Twelve Days of Christmas" solution (Spectrum), the very last couple of commands do not work. It says: PRESS 8, ENTER ARCH PRESS 8 should take us through the arch with the milkmaids, but this is not possible while carrying anything else, and we still have the bucket. However, DROP BUCKET ...

Re: Possible solution problem - The Mummy's Crypt

Stuck again right near the end, unfortunately.
Solution says CLIMB DRAPES, but they fall and smother, causing death.
RZX file here:

Any ideas?
