Re: Cornucopia

For now I have uploaded the walkthrough without taking the treasures to the cottage. Still no ideas about returning to the cottage?.. Thanks again for the walkthrough :) I have uploaded the game to Old-Games.ru: https://www.old-games.ru/game/11928.html Alex, do you mind me adding your "fixed" versi...

it says every object will not fit.
Oh, now that seems like a definite bug - the same one that was in "Witch Hunt"!

I have uploaded the map to the site and will replace it with a complete map when I have a new version.
Now, that's a BIG game
Thanks for the map!

Re: Catacombs

Stamp and swim we know about but what of the other two? I am not sure that "defile" is important. Yes, you can defile the altar, but that would only mean getting to hell = death. The good book warns us not to defile the holy altar, so could that be something you have to do? I doubt that. Maybe only...

Re: Cornucopia

Thanks, Alex!
It would be much easier to play it with your map :)
I only hope that there won't be any bugs there...

Re: Catacombs

No, that isn't quite true. The Brian Cotton games *are* fairly unusual in not having at least some ending text. Canalboy is an expert on the very early mainframe adventures. Ah, OK. I am rather a specialist on point-and-click adventures - I did not play many text adventures besides Infocom and Clas...

Re: Catacombs/Cornucopia

Is the version of Catacombs you have the same as the one on the https://www.old-games.ru/ site? Yes, sure! That's the only version available. Although I've heard that in 1991 Supersoft has re-published at least "Witch Hunt" with bugs cleaned and digitized sounds added - but that could be just a pre...

It seems that there is no real end to the game.
That's normal, as that is the case in other Classic Quests games, too. We get the idea that we have finished the game by getting all the points possible.

Re: Catacombs/Cornucopia

I guess we must use at least the stake and the sphere somehow because why should you solve puzzles to take them if they are not needed. I agree! There is also a chance for any of the treasures to be used in other way before being put on the altar (like the wand in "Forestland"). And the riddles sti...

Re: Catacombs/Cornucopia

I now have a few more words: It worked a treat the ªstuck to the @ªand has been completely removed. Could it mean, "It worked a treat the web stuck to the X and has been completely removed." in response to the command, "clear web with X"? If so then we will have to find X. Would the trident work? A...

Re: Catacombs/Cornucopia

About the rider, yes the rider is the angel of death. See below screenshot. Note I just put the rider in a random place I did not meet him here nor do I know how to meet him: Thanks for the screen, very interesting! I think that the problem is that if the rider not appearing IS a bug, then we can't...

Re: La Diosa de Cozumel

Strident, thanks for the comment! It'd probably be worth talking to the Spanish adventurers over at CAAD as they know everything about those games. Yes, they probably do. I used to search their forum, but did not find much useful. And I am hesitant to register there as I am not sure they would gladl...

Re: Catacombs/Cornucopia

Here is what the expert has replied to me: In the case of Witch Hunt there was an apparently faulty pass/fail condition that could be traced to code; but with Catacombs it seems we don't (yet) have that. In other words, we don't know what is supposed to happen, only that -something- isn't happening....

La Diosa de Cozumel

Has anyone completed this game? https://solutionarchive.com/game/id%2C2142/Diosa+de+Cozumel%2C+La.html In PC version, or Amiga, or Atari ST. I can't do that. In the beginning of the 2nd part of the game (you have to launch parts 1 and 2 separately from the start screen, using a save for part 2), you...

Re: Catacombs/Cornucopia

Well, then maybe that's because of the DOSBox version you are using, some old 2012, right? I never tried it (I use SVN Daum 2014), so it could be not fully compatible with later versions.
Here, try my latest disk - your Manure save 0 with my save 1 added.
