Paul's posts from 2005, refer to the adventure as Castle Bally for the Bally
Astrocade: "This is a 1,800 byte text adventure crammed into the limited memory of the Bally Astrocade. It's actually quite playable despite the memory constraints of the Bally." It's not clear how serious that description is but Bally BASIC did allow for type-in games.
The game was later converted to Just BASIC for the PC and also to GW-BASIC.
It's unclear why the game was originally listed here (and on other sites) with a 1985 date as that pre-dates Paul's first ever adventure.
Jim Gerrie has created a version of the original game for the TRS-80 MC-10.
